The Standards Act 1965—Draft New Zealand Standard Specifications

PURSUANT to subsection (3) of section 23 of the Standards Act 1965, notice is hereby given that the following draft New Zealand standard specifications are being circulated:

Number and Title of Specification

D 103 Outlet boxes for use with flush-mounting electrical accessories. (Revision of NZS 1201)

D 104 Rigid PVC, conduit and fittings for electrical wiring—Part 2, Fittings.

All persons who may be affected by these specifications and who desire to comment thereon may, on application, obtain copies on loan from the Standards Association of New Zealand, New Zealand Display Centre Building, Sturdee Street (Private Bag), Wellington.

The closing date for the receipt of comment is 22 August 1969.

Maori Land Development Notice

WHEREAS by virtue of the notice described in the First Schedule hereto the land described in the Second Schedule hereto is subject to Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, and whereas it is desired to release that land from the provision of the said Part XXIV:

Now, therefore, pursuant to section 332 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the Board of Maori Affairs hereby gives notice as follows.


NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as the Maori Land Development Notice Palmerston North 1969, No. 1.

  2. The notice referred to in the First Schedule hereto is hereby revoked.

  3. The land described in the Second Schedule hereto is hereby released from the provisions of Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953.

The Standards Act 1965—New Zealand Standard Specifications Proposed for Revocation

NOTICE is hereby given that the New Zealand standard specifications listed in the Schedule hereto have been reviewed by committees of the Standards Council and have been recommended for revocation, pursuant to the provisions of the Standards Act 1965.

Any person who may be affected by the proposal to revoke these standard specifications, and who may wish to object to their revocation, is invited to submit comments to the Standards Association of New Zealand, Private Bag, Wellington, not later than 18 July 1969.

Special Order Made by Mount Albert Borough Council Altering Ward Boundaries

PURSUANT to section 24 of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, I hereby publish the following special order made by the Mount Albert Borough Council.

SPECIAL ORDER

RESOLVED:

“That, in exercise of the powers conferred upon it by section 23 of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, the Mount Albert Borough Council hereby resolves, by way of special order, as follows:

That, in order to correct an error in the description of the boundary of Ward ‘C’, as gazetted in New Zealand Gazette, 1968, No. 49, pp. 1323–4, Ward ‘C’ is hereby redefined as follows in the Schedule hereto.

DESCRIPTION OF WARD ‘C’ OF THE BOROUGH OF MOUNT ALBERT

ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District, Mount Albert Borough, bounded by a line commencing at the intersection of the eastern boundary of Mount Albert Borough, as described in New Zealand Gazette, 1968, p. 1322, with the middle of Burnley Terrace and proceeding southerly along that eastern boundary to and westerly generally along the middle of Balmoral Road, crossing Sandringham Road, to and along the middle of St. Lukes Road and the middle of Wagener Place to a point in line with the north-eastern boundary of Lot 2, D.P. 56433; thence southerly generally to and along that boundary and the generally south-eastern boundaries of Lots 2 and 1, D.P. 56433, and Lot 8, D.P. 49096, to and north-westerly along the south-western boundaries of that lot and of Lots 7 and 13, D.P. 49096, along a right line across Lot 12, D.P. 49751, to and along the south-western boundary of Lot 6, D.P. 49096, to the eastern boundary of the land shown on S.O. Plan 34849 (Mount Albert Grammar School); thence south-westerly generally along the generally eastern and southern boundaries of the land shown on that S.O. plan taken for secondary school (New Zealand Gazette, 1948, p. 1142), to and southerly along the eastern boundaries of Lot 1, D.P. 24685, to the southernmost corner of that lot; thence north-westerly generally along the north-eastern boundaries of Lots 2 and 1, D.P. 35318, Lots 13, 12, 11, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, and 2, D.P. 16025, the north-eastern and north-western boundaries of Lot 1, D.P. 16025, the north-eastern boundary of Lot 22, D.P. 15135, the north-eastern and north-western boundaries of Lot 21, D.P. 15135, and the last-mentioned boundary produced to the middle of Mount Albert Road; thence north-westerly along the middle of that road to and north-easterly generally
