Allocating Railway Land to the Purposes of a Road in the Borough of Picton
ARTHUR PORRITT, Governor-General
A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to section 226 of the Public Works Act 1928, I, Sir Arthur Espie Porritt, Baronet, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto (which is held for the South Island Main Trunk Railway and is not now required for that purpose) shall, upon the publication hereof in the Gazette, become road; and that such road shall be maintained by the National Roads Board in like manner as other public highways are controlled and maintained by the said Board.
SCHEDULE
MARLBOROUGH LAND DISTRICT
ALL that piece of land containing 8.8 perches situated in Block XII, Linkwater Survey District, Marlborough R.D., and being part railway land; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked M.O.W. 22971 (S.O. 4815) deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured blue.

Revoking Vesting of Control of the Ballance Gorge Bridge in Pahiatua County Council and Apportioning the Cost of Maintenance

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Sir Arthur Espie Porritt, Baronet, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the Proclamation dated the 10th day of September 1905 and published in Gazette, 14 September 1905, Volume II, page 2220, vesting control of the Ballance Gorge Bridge in the Pahiatua County Council and determining the cost of maintaining, repairing, improving, or reconstructing the said bridge, is hereby revoked.

Allocating Land Acquired for Railway Purposes near Kaikoura to the Purposes of Road

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to section 226 of the Public Works Act 1928, I, Sir Arthur Espie Porritt, Baronet, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall, upon the publication hereof in the Gazette, become road; and that the said road shall be under the control of the Kaikoura County Council and shall be maintained by the said Council in like manner as other public highways are controlled and maintained by the said Council.

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to subsection (6) of section 5 of the Education Lands Act 1949, I, Sir Arthur Espie Porritt, Baronet, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto, being an area vested in the Wanganui Education Board as a site for a school, shall be vested in Her Majesty the Queen, freed and discharged from every educational trust affecting the same, but subject to all leases, encumbrances, liens, or easements affecting the same at the date hereof.

Control of Otamatea High School

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government Buildings at Wellington this 19th day of May 1969
Present:
THE RIGHT HON. J. R. MARSHALL PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 54 of the Education Act 1964, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.
ORDER
- (1) This order may be cited as the Otamatea High School Board of Governors Order 1969.
(2) This order shall come into force on the 1st day of June 1969. - There shall be a Board of Governors for the Otamatea High School which shall be constituted as follows:
(a) One member appointed by the Auckland Education Board;
(b) Three members elected by the parents of the pupils attending the school, being parents who are resident in the Maungaturoto School District;
(c) Two members elected by the parents of the pupils attending the school, being parents who are resident in the Kaiwaka School District;
(d) Two members elected by the parents of the pupils attending the school, being parents who are resident in the Paparoa School District;
(e) One member elected by the parents of the pupils attending the school, being parents who are resident in the Taipuha School District;
(f) One member co-opted by the Board itself, if and when it thinks fit. - The Auckland Education Board shall cease to control the Otamatea High School and the sole control of that school shall be vested in the Board of Governors constituted by clause 2 of this order.
