Appointment of Members of Rules Committee
PURSUANT to section 2 of the Judicature Amendment Act 1930, as substituted by section 2 of the Judicature Amendment Act (No. 2) 1968, the Chief Justice of New Zealand has appointed the Right Hon. Sir Thaddeus Pearcy McCarthy and the Hon. Reginald Hardie Boys as members of the Rules Committee, to hold office for a term commencing on 1 January 1969 and expiring on 31 December 1971.

Port Conciliation Committee for the Port of Taranaki Appointed
PURSUANT to the Waterfront Industry Act 1953, the Minister of Labour hereby appoints the following persons to be the Port Conciliation Committee for the Port of Taranaki for the term expiring on the 31st day of March 1970.

Rainsford John Pickwell, Deputy Chairman;
Ralph Mander, John Tudor Owen, William MacKenzie Spedding, and Harvey Keith Twigley (nominated by the New Zealand Port Employers’ Association (Incorporated)); and

Members of New Zealand Ports Authority Appointed
WHEREAS on 8 April 1969, pursuant to section 3 of the New Zealand Ports Authority Act 1968, His Excellency the Governor-General, on the recommendation of the Minister of Marine, appointed the persons named in the Schedule hereto to be members of the New Zealand Ports Authority from 1 April 1969, and also appointed the Hon. John Kenneth McAlpine to be Chairman of the said Authority as from 1 April 1969.
And whereas under the New Zealand Ports Authority Act Commencement Order 1969 the said Act did not come into force until 10 April 1969, and doubts have arisen as to the validity of the above-mentioned appointments:
Now, therefore, pursuant to section 3 of the said Act, His Excellency the Governor-General, on the recommendation of the Minister of Marine, has again been pleased to appoint the persons named in the Schedule hereto to be members of the New Zealand Ports Authority, and also to appoint the Hon. John Kenneth McAlpine to be the Chairman of the said Authority.

Appointment of Auckland Play Centre Association Incorporated to Control and Manage a Reserve
