"(g) That part of Nelson and Marlborough Land Districts
situated in Waimea County north of the former
Murchison County (Gazette, 1965, p. 437) and the
portion of Marlborough County bounded by the
coastline from the point where the eastern boundary
of Waimea County meets the sea to the mouth of
Pelorous River, including D'Urville Island; thence
along the southern and eastern banks of the
Pelorous River and Wakamarina River to the con-
fluence of Johnson Creek; thence in a direct line
in a westerly direction to the boundary of the
Waimea County at the confluence of Captain Creek
and the Pelorous River.

"(h) That part of the Land District of Westland situated in
Grey County and that portion of Westland County
north of the Poerua River, Poerua Glacier, and
Garden of Eden Ice Plateau."

  1. Paragraph 2 is hereby deleted and the following para-
    graph is substituted therefor—

"2. By authority of the said regulations we as authorised
forest officers hereby consent to the bringing or removal of
forest produce:

"(a) From the above-described infected area to any other
land, with the following exceptions: in respect of
all species of exotic pine (of genus Pinus), Douglas
fir (Pseudotsuga menziesii), and larch (of genus
Larix), all tree seedlings and all trees or parts
of trees used or intended to be used as Christmas
trees:

"(b) Into the above-described infected area from any other
land:

"(c) From any place or site within the above-described
infected area to any other place or site within the
infected area."

NOTES

  1. This amendment comes into effect upon first publication
    in a newspaper circulating in the infected area constituted.
    Its purpose is to extend the previously declared “infected
    area” and clarify the species concerned.

  2. It is an offence to remove plants or Christmas tree
    material (branches, etc.) out of the “infected area”, if these
    are of exotic pine, Douglas fir, or larch species and have
    not been treated as specified by an authorised forest officer.

  3. The “infected area” is now generally the large area lying
    between Auckland City and Wellington City, the area east
    of the main ranges between Wairoa and Takapau, also the
    Waimea County (excluding the old Murchison County),
    north-western Marlborough area west of Havelock, and
    Westland Land District north of Harihari.

  4. Inquiries should be addressed to the nearest Conservator
    of Forests.

The Road Classification (Waitemata County) Notice 1969

PURSUANT to regulation 3 of the Heavy Motor Vehicle Regu-
lations 1955*, the Secretary for Transport hereby gives the
following notice.

NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as the Road Classification
    (Waitemata County) Notice 1969.

  2. The Waitemata County Council’s proposed classification
    of the road, as set out in the Schedule hereto, is hereby
    approved.

  3. So much of the warrant dated the 8th day of May 1968
    as relates to the classification of the road described in the
    Schedule hereto is hereby revoked.

DIANA Drive (from Wairau Road to a point 40 chains
measured south-westerly generally along Diana Drive).

for use in New Zealand the under-mentioned amendments
to the relevant endorsed overseas specifications:
