Notice of Intention to Take Land for Road and for the Use, Convenience, or Enjoyment of a Road in Block XI, Mata Survey District, Waiapu County, being Land Required for the Approaches of the Makarika No. 2 Bridge on the Opotiki-Gisborne via Te Araroa State Highway No. 35


NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to execute a certain public work, namely, the construction of a road; and, for the purposes of that public work, the land described in the First Schedule hereto is required to be taken for road and the land described in the Second Schedule hereto is required to be taken for the use, convenience, or enjoyment of a road; and notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post office at Te Puia Springs, and is there open for inspection; that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land should, if they have any objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said land, not being objections to the amount or payment of compensation, set forth the same, in writing, and send the written objection, within 40 days of the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Works at Wellington; and that, if any objection is made in accordance with this notice, a public hearing of the objection will be held, unless the objector otherwise requires, and each objector will be advised of the time and the place of hearing.

ALL those pieces of land situated in Block XI, Mata Survey District, Waiapu County, Gisborne R.D., described as follows:

As the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked M.O.W. 22829 (S.O. 5813) deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured as above-mentioned.

Licensing Archibald Donald Nicholson to Occupy a Site for a Jetty and Walkway in Riverton Harbour


PURSUANT to the Harbours Act 1950, the Minister of Marine hereby licenses and permits Archibald Donald Nicholson (hereinafter called the licensee, which term shall include his administrators, executors, or assigns, unless the context requires a different construction) to use and occupy a part of the foreshore and bed of Riverton Harbour, as shown on plan marked M.D. 12644 and deposited in the office of the Marine Department at Wellington, for the purpose of maintaining thereon a jetty and walkway, as shown on the said plan; such licence to be held and enjoyed by the licensee upon and subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the Schedule hereto.


SCHEDULE

CONDITIONS

  1. This licence is subject to the Foreshore Licence Regulations 1960, and the provisions of those regulations shall, so far as applicable, apply hereto.

  2. The term of the licence shall be 14 years from the 1st day of March 1969.

  3. The premium payable by the licensee shall be 10 dollars ($10) and the annual sum so payable by the licensee shall be 12 dollars ($12).

Approval of Amendment to Akaroa Harbour and Foreshore Bylaw 1968


NOTICE is hereby given that the Minister of Marine approves, pursuant to sections 8A and 165 of the Harbours Act 1950, the amendments to the Akaroa Harbour and Foreshore Bylaw 1968 made at a special meeting of Akaroa County Council held on 30 August 1968 and confirmed on 4 October 1968.
