ORDER

1. This order may be cited as the Intellectually Handicapped Children’s Society (Incorporated), Canterbury Branch, Order 1969.

2. The Intellectually Handicapped Children’s Society (Incorporated), Canterbury Branch, an organisation approved by the Minister of Labour under section 3 of the Disabled Persons Employment Promotion Act 1960, is hereby granted exemption in respect of the sheltered workshop at 192 Worcester Street, Christchurch, from:

(a) All the provisions of every award and industrial agreement which would otherwise be applicable in respect of persons employed in that workshop; and

(b) Section 34 of the Factories Act 1946 and all the provisions of the Annual Holidays Act 1944 and the Minimum Wage Act 1945.

PURSUANT to section 15 of the Royal New Zealand Air Force Act 1950, His Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to approve the following appointments, promotion, extensions of commissions, extension of commission and dates of retirement, retirements, transfers, cancellation of commission, transfer to retired list, and resignation of officers of the Royal New Zealand Air Force.

REGULAR AIR FORCE

GENERAL DUTIES BRANCH

Appointment

Sergeant Sydney Marcus Elliott (74698) is granted a short-service commission in General Duties Branch (Engineer Division), Regular Air Force, for a period ending 30 May 1979, to be followed by 4 years in the Reserve of Air Force Officers. He is appointed in the rank of Flying Officer, with seniority and effect from 15 October 1968.

Extension of Commission

Flying Officer Edward Yates Creelman (81406) is granted an extension of his short-service commission until 6 January 1976, to be followed by 4 years in the Reserve of Air Force Officers, with effect from 22 November 1968.

Cancellation of Commission

The short-service commission of Acting Pilot Officer Andrew George Hatt (698751) is hereby cancelled, with effect from 30 October 1968.

Extension of Commission

Flight Lieutenant (The Rev.) Richard Andrew Simpson (80714) is granted an extension of his short-service commission until 31 January 1975, to be followed by 4 years in the Reserve of Air Force Officers, with effect from 18 December 1968.

Warrant Officer George Ottilia Silvia Hall (70845) is granted a short-service commission in the Technical Branch (Engineer Division), Regular Air Force, for a period ending 3 May 1971, to be followed by 4 years in the Reserve of Air Force Officers. He is appointed in the rank of Flight Lieutenant, with seniority from 15 October 1967, with effect from 15 October 1968.

Warrant Officer Lester Edward Goslin (71468) is granted a short-service commission in the Technical Branch (Engineer Division), Regular Air Force, for a period ending 14 October 1972, to be followed by 4 years in the Reserve of Air Force Officers. He is appointed in the rank of Flight Lieutenant, with seniority and effect from 15 October 1968.

Warrant Officer Hugh Ferguson Nelson (74863) is granted a short-service commission in the Technical Branch (Engineer Division), Regular Air Force, for a period ending 14 October 1971, to be followed by 4 years in the Reserve of Air Force Officers. He is appointed in the rank of Flight Lieutenant, with seniority and effect from 15 October 1968.

Flight Sergeant James Ronald Charlton (71577) is granted a short-service commission in the Technical Branch (Engineer Division), Regular Air Force, for a period ending 14 October 1973, to be followed by 4 years in the Reserve of Air Force Officers. Flight Sergeant Hugh Kevin McCarron (77630) is granted a short-service commission in the Administrative and Supply Branch (Equipment Division), Regular Air Force, for a period ending 17 September 1974, to be followed by 4 years in the Reserve of Air Force Officers. Corporal Ronald Bruce Wooller (344189) is granted a short-service commission in the Administrative and Supply Branch (Equipment Division), Regular Air Force, for a period ending 14 October 1973, to be followed by 4 years in the Reserve of Air Force Officers. He is appointed in the rank of Pilot Officer, with seniority from 15 August 1968 and with effect from 15 October 1968.

Corporal Robert Allison Swan (79686) is granted a short-service commission in the Administrative and Supply Branch (Equipment Division), Regular Air Force, for a period ending 14 October 1974, to be followed by 4 years in the Reserve of Air Force Officers. He is appointed in the rank of Pilot Officer, with seniority and effect from 15 October 1968.
