to be Deputy of the Governor-General commencing at 10 a.m. on the 6th day of January 1969 and during the period of the temporary absence of the Governor-General from the seat of Government and from New Zealand.

Change of Control of Maori Schools

PURSUANT to section 102A of the Education Act 1964, as inserted by section 13 of the Education Amendment Act 1968, the Minister of Education hereby directs that, as from the 1st day of February 1969, the State primary schools mentioned in the Schedules hereto shall cease to be Maori schools, and the sole control thereof shall be vested in the education board of the district as specified in those Schedules.

FIRST SCHEDULE

Maori Schools Transferred to Control of Auckland Education Board

Ahipara, Awarua, Kaikohe, Karetu, Mangamuka, Manukau, Matangirau, Matauri Bay, Matawaia, Matihema, Motatau, Motukiore, Motuti, Ngaiotonga, Ngararatunua, Ngataki, Ohaeawai, Omanaia, Orauta, Oromahoe, Otaua, Oturu, Pakaraka, Pamapuria, Paparore, Pukepoto, Punaruku, Rahiri, Rangiawhia, Rangitane, Tautoro, Te Abu Ahu, Te Hapua, Te Horo, Te Kao, Te Tii, Waikare, Wainui, Waiomio, Waitapu, Whangape, and Whirinaki.
