Declaring Land in North Auckland Land District to be
No Longer a Water Area

Pursuant to the Land Act 1948, notice is hereby given that
the land described in the Schedule hereto is no longer a
water area for the purpose of section 50 of the said Act.

ALLOTMENTS 189 to 194 inclusive and Allotment 180,
Tatariki Parish, situated in Blocks XIII and XIV, Tokatoka

Water Area (Part Bradley’s Farm Settlement) for the Purpose
of Section 50 of the Land Act 1948

Pursuant to subsection (6) of section 50 of the Land Act
1948, the Land Settlement Board hereby declares the land
described in the Schedule hereto to be a water area (part
Bradley’s Farm Settlement) which is deemed to be a water
area for the purpose of the said section.

ALLOTMENTS 196 to 200 inclusive, Tatarariki Parish, situated

Plants Declared Noxious Weeds in the County of Waipu
(Notice No. Ag. 10344)

Pursuant to section 3 of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950, and
to a delegation from the Minister of Agriculture under
section 9 of the Department of Agriculture Act 1953 for
the purpose of the said section, the following special order,
made by the Waipu County Council on the 26th day of
September 1968, is hereby published.

SPECIAL ORDER

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by
section 3 of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950, the Waipu
County Council hereby resolves by way of special order,
that the plant mentioned in the Schedule hereto, being a
plant included in the First Schedule of the Noxious Weeds
Act 1950, be declared a noxious weed within the whole of
the County of Waipu.

Heath (Erica lusitanica and Erica arborea).

Approval of Revolving Amber Lights for Certain Vehicles

Pursuant to regulation 39 of the Traffic Regulations 1956*,
the Commissioner of Transport hereby approves the fitting of
one revolving yellow or amber light on any street-cleaning
vehicle, for use only while the vehicle is engaged in street-
cleaning operations such as sweeping or flushing, and subject
to the following conditions:

  1. That the light is fitted at least 8 ft above road level.

  2. That the vehicle is painted a conspicuous colour.

  3. That, when the vehicle is used at night, it also displays two
    white lights to the front and two red lights to the rear, so
    located as to clearly indicate to other traffic the width of
    the vehicle. Any extremities which project more than 12 in.
    from the marker lights shall be floodlit.

  4. That the vehicle is not used at night in areas that are not
    subject to a 30 mph speed restriction unless the road is equip-
    ped with good street lighting, or unless appropriate signs are
    erected to give advance warning of the presence of the vehicle
    to approaching drivers.

The Road Classification (State Highways) Notice No. 3, 1968

Pursuant to regulation 3 of the Heavy Motor Vehicle
Regulations 1955*, the Commissioner of Transport hereby
gives the following notice.

NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as the Road Classification (State
    Highways) Notice No. 3, 1968.
  2. It is hereby declared, as required by the National Roads
    Board, that the State highway as set out in the Schedule
    hereto shall belong to the class set out in the said Schedule.
  3. So much of the Warrant, dated the 8th day of June 1965†,
    as relates to the classification of the road described in the
    Schedule hereto is hereby revoked.

SCHEDULE

State Highway Classified in Class One

No. 96 State Highway (Mataura-Tuatapere) (from Mataura
to Winton).

The Road Classification (Helensville Borough) Notice 1968

Pursuant to regulation 3 of the Heavy Motor Vehicle
Regulations 1955*, the Commissioner of Transport hereby
gives the following notice.

NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as the Road Classification
    (Helensville Borough) Notice 1968.
  2. The Helensville Borough Council’s proposed classification
    of the roads as set out in the Schedule hereto is hereby
    approved.
  3. The Warrant, dated the 27th day of April 1951†, which
    relates to the classification of the roads described in the
    Schedule hereto is hereby revoked.

HELENSVILLE BOROUGH

Roads Classified in Class Two

ALL roads under the control of the Helensville Borough
Council.
