The Traffic (Coromandel County) Notice 1968

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Coromandel County) Notice 1968.

  2. The road specified in the Schedule hereto is hereby declared to be a closely populated locality for the purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962, to the intent that a person driving any motor vehicle thereon at any time during the period commencing with the 20th day of December in each year and ending with the 18th day of February in the next ensuing year, and the period commencing with the Thursday preceding Easter and ending with the Tuesday following Easter, shall be subject to the maximum speed limit of 30 miles an hour fixed by the said section.

SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Coromandel County, at Oamaru Bay:

Colville Road (Coromandel-Colville) (from a point 2 chains measured south-easterly generally along the said road from Nicholls Road to a point 28 chains measured north-westerly generally along Colville Road from Nicholls Road).

The Traffic (Waipa County) Notice 1968

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Waipa County) Notice 1968.

  2. The road specified in the Schedule hereto is hereby declared to be a 40-miles-an-hour speed limit area for the purposes of regulation 27A of the Traffic Regulations 1956*.

SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Waipa County, adjacent to Te Awamutu Borough:

Te Awamutu - Pirongia Road (from the western boundary of Te Awamutu Borough to a point 24 chains measured westerly generally along the said road from the said boundary).

The Traffic (Horowhenua County) Notice 1968

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Horowhenua County) Notice 1968.

  2. The areas specified in the First Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be closely populated localities for the purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.

  3. The road specified in the Second Schedule hereto is hereby declared to be a 40-miles-an-hour speed limit area for the purposes of regulation 27A of the Traffic Regulations 1956*.

  4. The Warrant under section 52 of the Transport Act 1962 and regulation 27 of the Traffic Regulations 1956*, dated the 19th day of November 1964†, which relates to Waikanae Beach Township and Waikanae Township, in Horowhenua County, is hereby revoked.

FIRST SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Horowhenua County:

(i) At Waikanae Beach Township: All those roads within a radius of 60 chains measured from the Waikanae Beach Post Office near the junction of Hemara Street and Tutere Street, but excluding that portion of Te Moana Road eastwards from a point 5 chains measured easterly generally along Te Moana Road from Rauparaha Street.

(ii) At Waikanae Township: All that area bounded by a line commencing at a point on the western side of State Highway No. 1 (Awanui-Bluff) 3 chains measured southerly generally along the said State highway from Te Moana Road; thence south-westerly along that roadside to the northern bank of the Waikanae River; thence westerly along the said northern bank to a point intersecting a right line due south-east from a point on Te Moana Road 8 chains measured south-easterly generally along the said road from Greenaway Road; thence due north-west along the said right line to the middle of Te Moana Road; thence north-easterly generally along a right line to the north-eastern end of Walton Avenue; thence along a right line to a point on the western side of Ngarara Road in line with the northern side of Rimu Street; thence across Ngarara Road to the said northern side of Rimu Street; thence north-easterly generally along a right line to the junction of the north-western side of Parata Street with the north-eastern side of Hemi Street; thence along the north-eastern side of Hemi Street to the north-western side of the No. 1 State Highway (Awanui-Bluff); thence south-westerly generally along that roadside to a point 5 chains measured north-easterly generally along the said State highway from Ngaio Road; thence south-easterly generally across the said State highway at right angles to its western side to its eastern side; thence north-easterly generally along that roadside to a point opposite the north-eastern end of Matenga Street; thence south-easterly generally along a right line to the north-eastern end of Kotare Street; thence southerly generally along the eastern sides of Kotare Street and Tui Crescent to the south-eastern end of Kereru Street; thence south-westerly generally by a right line to the eastern end of Kakariki Grove; thence south-westerly generally by a right line to the intersection of the eastern side of Winara Avenue with the north-eastern side of Elizabeth Street; thence south-westerly generally across Elizabeth Street to its southern side; thence westerly generally by a right line to a point on the eastern side of the No. 1 State Highway (Awanui-Bluff) opposite the commencing point; thence across the said State highway to the commencing point; the boundary of the whole area being further indicated in red on the plan TT. 4019, deposited in the Head Office of the Transport Department in Wellington.

SECOND SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Horowhenua County, at Waikanae:

No. 1 State Highway (Awanui-Bluff) (from the southern end of the Waikanae River bridge to a point 3 chains measured southerly generally along the said State highway from Te Moana Road; and from Hemi Street to a point 5 chains measured northerly generally along the said State highway from Ngaio Road).

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Golden Bay County) Notice 1968.

  2. The roads specified in the First Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be closely populated localities for the purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.

  3. The roads specified in the Second Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be 40-miles-an-hour speed limit areas for the purposes of regulation 27A of the Traffic Regulations 1956*.

  4. The Warrant under section 36 of the Transport Act 1949, dated the 5th day of February 1958†, which relates to Takaka Township, in Golden Bay County, is hereby revoked.

FIRST SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Golden Bay County, at Takaka:

No. 60 State Highway (Richmond-Collingwood) (from a point 8 chains measured southerly generally along the said State highway from Motupipi Road to a point 18 chains measured northerly generally along the said State highway from Factory Road).

Edinburgh Street.

Hiawatha Lane.

Junction Street.

Rototai Road (from Factory Road to a point 32 chains measured easterly generally along the said Rototai Road from Factory Road).

Te Kakau Street.
