Notice of Varied Hours for Sale of Liquor at the
Empire Hotel, Petone

PURSUANT to section 221A (16) of the Sale of Liquor Act
1962, as amended by the Sale of Liquor Amendment Act
(No. 2) 1967, I, John Lochiel Robson, Secretary for Justice,
hereby give notice that the Licensing Control Commission,
on 25 October 1968, made an order fixing hours other than
the usual hours for opening and closing the Empire Hotel,
Petone, for sale of liquor to the public; namely, that such
hotel premises be authorised to open at 9 o'clock in the
morning and close at 8 o'clock in the evening, on Saturdays
only.

Temporary Protection of Industry
NOTICE is hereby given that the Emergency Protection Authority
has been requested to undertake inquiries in terms of
the Tariff and Development Board Amendment Act 1967,
and to report, in terms of section 10D of that Act, concerning
the following goods:

  1. Domestic capacity measures of iron, steel, copper, and
    aluminium, falling within Tariff items 73.38.21, 74.18.01, and
    76.15.01.
    Date of reference: 6 November 1968.

  2. Hand rivetting pliers for use with "blind" rivets, falling
    within Tariff item 82.03.05.
    Date of reference: 7 November 1968.

  3. Smoking pipes, falling within Tariff item 98.11.01.
    Date of reference: 12 November 1968.

  4. Expanded metal of iron or steel, copper, and aluminium,
    falling within Tariff items 73.28.00, 74.12.00, and 76.14.00.

Maori Land Development Notice
WHEREAS by virtue of the notice described in the First
Schedule hereto the land referred to in that notice is now
subject to the provisions of Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs
Act 1953; and whereas it is desired to release certain of that
land from the provisions of the said Part XXIV:
Now, therefore, pursuant to section 332 of the Maori
Affairs Act 1953, the Board of Maori Affairs hereby gives
notice as follows.

NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as the Maori Land Development
    ment Notice Gisborne 1968, No. 5.

  2. The notice referred to in the First Schedule hereto is
    hereby amended by omitting all reference to the land de-
    scribed in the Second Schedule hereto.

  3. The land described in the Second Schedule hereto is
    hereby released from Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act

Price Order No. 2093 (Cornsacks)

PURSUANT to the Control of Prices Act 1947, I, Clifford Ernest
Beard, pursuant to a delegation from the Secretary of Indus-
tries and Commerce acting under a delegation from the Price
Tribunal, hereby make the following price order:

  1. This order may be cited as Price Order No. 2093 and
    shall come into force on the 15th day of November 1968.

  2. (1) Price Order No. 2063* is hereby revoked.
    (2) The revocation of the said order shall not affect the
    liability of any person for any offence in relation thereto
    committed before the coming into force of this order.

APPLICATION OF THIS ORDER
3. This order applies with respect to sales by way of retail
of all cornsacks other than secondhand cornsacks sold in
New Zealand.

FIXING MAXIMUM RETAIL PRICES OF CORNSACKS TO WHICH
THIS ORDER APPLIES

  1. (1) The maximum retail price that may be charged or
    received for any cornsacks to which this order applies shall
    be determined as follows:
    (a) When sold "ex wharf' at Auckland, Napier, Wellington,
    Lyttelton, Timaru, Dunedin, or Bluff: For 46-in. by 23-in.
    cornsacks, $3.72 per dozen; for 48-in. by 26½in. cornsacks,
    $4.38 per dozen.
    (b) When sold "ex store" at Auckland, Napier, Wellington,
    Lyttelton, Timaru, Dunedin, or Bluff: For 46-in. by 23-in.
    cornsacks, $3.82 per dozen; for 48-in. by 26½in. cornsacks,
    $4.48 per dozen.
