ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District containing 745 acres, more or less, bounded by a line commencing at a point on the northern side of North Town Belt in line with the western side of Tripp Street, Block V, Geraldine Survey District, and proceeding easterly along the northern side of North Town Belt and its production to the general northern boundary of part R.S. 3159 comprised in C.T. 148/218; thence easterly generally and northerly generally along that boundary and the general western boundaries of Lot 1, D.P. 25525, part Lot 7 and Lots 5, 4, and 1, D.P. 19613, to the northernmost corner of Lot 1, D.P. 19613; thence south-easterly along the north-eastern boundaries of that lot, along a right line to the north-western corner of Lot 3, D.P. 14343, along the north-eastern boundaries of Lots 3, 4, and 5, D.P. 14343, and Lots 1 to 10 inclusive, D.P. 15764, and the production of the last-mentioned boundary a distance of 37.87 links; thence north-easterly at right angles thereto to a point in line with the north-eastern boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 18104: thence south-easterly to and along that boundary, along the north-eastern boundaries of Lots 2 to 8 inclusive, D.P. 18104, along a right line to the north-eastern corner of Lot 7, D.P. 13782, along the north-eastern boundaries of Lots 7 to 3 inclusive, D.P. 13782, along a right line to the north-eastern corner of Lot 2, D.P. 17154, along the north-eastern boundaries of Lots 2 and 3, D.P. 17154, along a right line to the north-eastern corner of Lot 4, D.P. 17154, and along the north-eastern boundaries of Lots 4 and 5, D.P. 17154, to the north-western boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 3547; thence north-easterly and south-easterly along the north-western and north-eastern boundaries of that lot to its easternmost corner; thence westerly and southerly generally down the middle of the stream forming the southern boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 3547, to the northernmost corner of Lot 59, D.P. 2721; thence south-westerly along the north-western boundaries of Lots 59 to 50 inclusive, D.P. 2721, and south-easterly along the south-western boundary of Lot 50, D.P. 2721, and its production to the middle of Tancred Street; thence south-westerly along the middle of that street to the south-western side of Orari Station Road; thence south-easterly along that roadside to the south-eastern boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 19758; thence south-westerly along that boundary and north-westerly along the south-western boundaries of that lot and Lots 7 to 1 inclusive, D.P. 13678, and the production of the last-mentioned boundary to the south-eastern boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 9064; thence south-westerly along that boundary and north-westerly along the south-western boundary of that lot and its production to the right bank of the Waihi River; thence southerly generally along that bank to the southern boundary of Lot 2, D.P. 24034; thence south-westerly along that boundary, across Talbot Street and along the southern boundary of Lot 3, D.P. 3879, to the easternmost corner of Lot 2, D.P. 3879; thence north-westerly along the north-eastern boundaries of Lots 2 and 1, D.P. 3879, and the production of the last-mentioned boundary to the middle of Kennedy Street; thence north-easterly along the middle of that street to a point in line with the eastern boundary of Lot 10, D.P. 33; thence northerly to and along that boundary and westerly and southerly along the northern and western boundaries of that lot to the northern boundary of R.S. 5231; thence westerly along that boundary, across Cox Street, and again westerly along that boundary to the eastern boundary of part R.S. 5068 comprised in C.T. 6B/1009; thence northerly along that boundary to the southern boundary of Lot 8, D.P. 21297; thence westerly along the southern boundaries of Lots 8 to 1 inclusive, D.P. 21297, to the eastern boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 20777; thence southerly along the eastern boundaries of Lots 1 to 4, D.P. 20777, and westerly along the southern boundary of Lot 4, D.P. 20777, and its production to the middle of Gresham Street; thence southerly along the middle of that street to a point in line with the southern boundary of Lot 2, D.P. 14642; thence westerly to and along that boundary to its westernmost end; thence northerly generally along the general eastern boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 16999, and continuing northerly across Darby Street to and along the eastern boundaries of R.S. 38313 and part R.S. 7456 to and along the western side of Tripp Street and its production to the point of commencement.
BOUNDARIES OF COUNTY OF GERALDINE
ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District containing 495,604 acres more or less, bounded by a line commencing at a point in the middle of the mouth of the Rangitata River and proceeding south-westerly to and along the mean high-water mark of the sea to the middle of the Opihi River; thence north-westerly and northerly generally up the middle of the Opihi and Opuha Rivers to a point in line with the north-western boundary of Rural Section 36096; thence north-easterly to and along that boundary and its production across a public road to the south-western boundary of Section 7A, Four Peaks Settlement; thence north-westerly and north-easterly along the south-western and north-western boundaries of that section and northerly generally along the western boundary of Section 26, Tripp Settlement, and its production to the middle of the Mowbray River; thence south-easterly generally up the middle of that river to and along the north-eastern boundary of Section 26, Tripp Settlement, and the northern boundary of Section 25, Tripp Settlement, to a point in line with the north-western boundary of Section 24, Tripp Settlement; thence north-easterly generally to and along that boundary, the abutment of a public road, again the north-western boundary of Section 24, Tripp Settlement, and the north-western boundary of Run 240 to the western boundary of Rural Section 34447; thence northerly along the production of that boundary to the middle of Howards Stream; thence easterly down the middle of that stream to the middle of the Orari River; thence northerly generally up the middle of that river to a point in line with the southern boundary of run 276; thence easterly and north-westerly generally to and along the southern and north-eastern boundaries of that run to the north-eastern corner of Run 2; thence south-westerly generally along the north-western boundary of that run to the middle of Phantom River; thence to and north-westerly generally along the south-western boundary of Run 241 and its production to the middle of Forest Creek; thence south-westerly generally up the middle of that creek to its source on the Two Thumb Range; thence northerly generally to and along the summit of that range to the northern boundary of Run 110B; thence easterly generally along the northern boundary of Run 110B and the middle of the Forbes River to the middle of the Havelock River; thence south-easterly down the middle of that river and the middle of the Rangitata River to the point of commencement, excluding therefrom the Borough of Geraldine, hereinbefore described and the Borough of Temuka, as described in Gazette, 1967, p. 596.
BOUNDARIES OF THE GERALDINE RIDING OF GERALDINE COUNTY
ALL that area in the Geraldine County, Canterbury Land District, bounded by a line commencing at Waitohi Saddle (Block XIII, Opuha Survey District) and proceeding north-westerly and north-easterly along the south-western and north-western boundaries of Section 7A, Four Peaks Settlement, and northerly generally along the western boundary of Section 26, Tripp Settlement, and its production to the middle of the Mowbray River; thence south-easterly generally along the middle of that river to and along the north-eastern boundary of Section 26, Tripp Settlement, to a point in line with the north-western boundary of Section 24, Tripp Settlement, thence north-easterly generally to and along that boundary, the abutment of a public road, again the north-western boundary of Section 24, aforesaid, and the north-western boundary of Run 240 to the western boundary of Rural Section 34447; thence northerly along that boundary and its production to the middle of Howards Stream; thence easterly along the middle of that stream to the middle of the Orari River; thence south-easterly generally along the middle of that river to the middle of the South Island Main Trunk Railway; thence south-westerly along the middle of that railway to a point in line with the middle of College Road; thence north-westerly to and along the middle of that road to the middle of the Waihi River; thence northerly generally along the middle of that river to the middle of Packhams Road; thence north-westerly along the middle of that road, Tiplady Road, and Pleasant Valley Road to a point in line with the southern boundary of Rural Section 31646; thence westerly to and along that boundary and its production to the middle of the Hae Hae Te Moana River; thence north-westerly generally along the middle of that river, Hae Hae Te Moana River South Branch, and Griffith Stream to the point of commencement, excluding therefrom the Borough of Geraldine, hereinbefore described.
