At the Government House at Wellington this 29th day of
January 1968
Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928 and the Electric
Power Boards Act 1925, His Excellency the Governor-General,
acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive
Council, hereby makes the following order.

ORDER

(1) This order may be cited as the Waitaki Electric Power
Board Electric Lines Licence 1968.

(2) Subject to the conditions hereinafter set forth, the
Waitaki Electric Power Board (hereinafter referred to as
β€œthe licensee”) is hereby authorised to lay, construct, put up,
place, and use electric lines, and to construct electric works
within the area of supply described in the Schedule hereto.

(3) The conditions directed to be implied in all licences
by the Electrical Supply Regulations 1967 and the Electrical
Wiring Regulations 1961 shall be incorporated herein and
shall form part of this licence, except in so far as they may
be inconsistent with the provisions of this licence.

(4) The licence hereby conferred is subject to compliance
by the licensee with the Electrical Supply Regulations 1967,
the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1961, the Radio Interference
Regulations 1958 and with all regulations made in amendment
thereof or in substitution therefor, except in so far as
they may be inconsistent with the provisions of this licence.

(5) The systems of supply shall be as described in paragraphs (a), (b), (c), (d), (e), (f), (h), and (j) of regulation 15 of the Electrical Supply Regulations 1967. The system
of supply authorised under paragraph (j) aforesaid shall be
a single-conductor earth-return system of 11,000 volts between
conductor and earth, and the use thereof shall be subject to
such terms and conditions as are from time to time laid down
by the General Manager of the New Zealand Electricity
Department.

(6) This licence shall, unless it is sooner lawfully determined, continue in force until the 21st day of November
1988.

SCHEDULE
AREA OF SUPPLY

THE Waitaki Electric Power District, as defined in the Fourth
Schedule to the Proclamation dated the 23rd day of August
1957, and published in the Gazette on the 29th day of the
same month at page 1575, and the area described in the
Schedule to the Order in Council dated the 28th day of
February 1966 and appearing in the Gazette on the 10th
day of March 1966 at page 332.

Exempting Land in the Nelson Land District From the Operation of Part III of the Coal Mines Act 1925

PURSUANT to the Coal Mines Act 1925, His Excellency the Governor-General hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

THE land described in the Schedule hereto is exempted
from the operation of Part III of the Coal Mines Act 1925.

SCHEDULE

ALL that area of land containing 32 perches being Lot 11,
Town of Roa Extension No. 1, Block II, Mawheranui Survey
District, and land comprised in certificate of title, Volume 28,
folio 93, Westland Registry, as described in Deposited Plan
1268, save excepting for Her Majesty the Queen all seams or
beds of coal and all other minerals and metals, and reserving
between Her Majesty the Queen and all persons lawfully
entitled to work the said coal, minerals and metals, a right of
ingress, egress, and regress under the said land.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General this 23rd day of January 1968.

Bringing Land in the Otago Land District Comprised of Public Reserve Under the Operation of the Mining Act 1926

PURSUANT to the Mining Act 1926, His Excellency the
Governor-General hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

THAT the land described in the Schedule hereto be brought
under the operation of the Mining Act 1926 with respect
only to races and other privileges in respect of water.

SCHEDULE

ALL that area of land comprising 300 acres 2 roods, more or
less, being Section 1, Block VI, Gimmerburn Survey District,
and being part of the land comprised in certificate of title,
Volume 367, folio 46, Otago Land Registry as delineated in
red on S.O. Plan 475 deposited in the office, Mines Department, Wellington.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General this 23rd day of January 1968.

Directing the Local Government Commission to Inquire into and Report on Certain Matters Affecting the Auckland Metropolitan Drainage District

WHEREAS the Manukau City Council presented a petition dated 16 November 1967 pursuant to section 8 of the Auckland Metropolitan Drainage Act 1960 praying that the boundaries of the Inner Area of the Auckland Metropolitan District be altered to exclude therefrom a certain area;

And whereas the Auckland Regional Authority has objected to the said petition;

Now therefore in pursuance of the powers conferred on me by section 8 (3) of the Auckland Metropolitan Drainage Act 1960, I, Sir Arthur Espie Porritt, Baronet, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby direct the Local Government Commission, appointed pursuant to the Local Government Commission Act 1967, to inquire into and report upon the said petition and objection thereto.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General this 1st day of February 1968.
