VINCENT COUNTY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Rural Housing Loan 1967—$20,000
“THAT for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $20,000, authorised to be raised by the Vincent County Council under the Rural Housing Act 1939 for the purpose of making advances to farmers in terms of the said Act, the said Vincent County Council hereby resolves to make a special rate of 0.01584 of a cent in the dollar ($) upon the rateable unimproved value of all rateable property of the special rating area comprising the whole of the County of Vincent; and that the special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 30th day of September in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 25 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
I hereby certify that the above resolution was passed at a meeting of the Vincent County Council held on the 25th day of January 1968.

Bridge Renewal Loan 1967—$20,000
“THAT for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $20,000, authorised to be raised by the Vincent County Council under the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 for the purpose of refunding the County Fund Account in respect of the Council’s share of the cost of the Bannockburn, Fraser River, and Wainui Creek bridges, the said Vincent County Council hereby makes a special rate of 0.0162 of a cent in the dollar ($) upon the rateable unimproved value of all rateable property of the special rating area comprising the whole of the county of Vincent; and that the said special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 30th day of September in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 30 years or until the loan is fully paid off.”

MINING ACT 1926
APPLICATION FOR A LICENCE FOR A WATER RACE
PETER VINCENT McATAMNEY, of Middlemarch, farmer, is making application for a water-race licence under the Mining Act 1926, for the purposes of farm irrigation and stock water.
Race (1) starts from and traverses that part of forest reserve in Section 50 held under miscellaneous licence adjoining Section 51, Block IV, Sutton Survey District. Length of course one mile; mean depth and breadth 1 foot by 1 foot.
Race (2) starts as aforesaid, traverses Section 51, Block IV, Sutton Survey District, in a due easterly direction rejoining the stream under the bridge over Highway 87 at that point and entering and finishing in the applicant’s section on the eastern boundary of the said highway. Length of course one mile; mean depth and breadth 1 foot by 1 foot.
This application may be inspected at the Warden’s Court, Cromwell, during normal office hours. The time and place appointed for hearing is Tuesday, the 6th day of February 1968, at 10 a.m., at Cromwell.

APPLICATION FOR A WATER RACE LICENCE
Notice is hereby given that Frank Alexander Pringle, of Duntroon, farmer, will apply to the Warden of the Otago Mining District at Oamaru at 10.30 a.m., on Wednesday, 28 February 1968, for a licence for a water race to divert four heads of water from the Maruwenua River commencing near Haugh’s Crossing on the eastern side of the Maruwenua River and terminating on the applicant’s property, namely on Lot 9, Maruwenua Estate.
Objections must be filed in the office of the Mining Registrar at Oamaru and notice must be given to the applicant whose address for service is at the offices of Messrs Hjorring, Tait, and Farrell, Eden Street, Oamaru, at least three days before the above-mentioned time of hearing.

APPLICATION FOR WATER RACE LICENCE
JAMES ALEXANDER HARVEY, Graham Bernard Harvey, and Donald Ross Harvey, all of Duntroon, farmers, hereby give notice that they have applied to the Warden’s Court at Oamaru for a water-race licence to take four heads of water for irrigation purposes from a water race having a mean breadth of 4 ft 6 in. and a mean depth of 2 ft commencing at a peg marked “A” on the eastern side of the Maerewhenua River adjacent to the new Maerewhenua Bridge near Haugh’s Crossing and terminating at a peg marked “A” on the property of the applicants, namely, Section 28, Block VI, and Section 39, Block VII, Maerewhenua Survey District.
The application may be inspected at the Warden’s Court at Oamaru and will be heard at the said Court at 10.30 a.m. in the forenoon on Wednesday the 28th day of February 1968, and all objections to the application must be filed in the said court and served on the applicants at least three clear days prior to the hearing.
The address for service of the applicants is at the offices of Messrs Fitch, Mackay, Walker, and Salisbury, at Town Hall Chambers, Thames Street, Oamaru.
