National Roads Board—Notice Declaring State Highway to be
a Limited Access Road

It is notified that the National Roads Board, by resolution
dated 23 July 1968, and pursuant to section 4 of the Public
Works Amendment Act 1963, hereby declares that part of
No. 3 State Highway (Hamilton to Woodville) from the
southern boundary of Waitara Borough, near Brookes Street,
to the northern boundary of New Plymouth City, at Smart
Road, as more particularly shown on Sheets 1, 2, 3, and 4
of plans M.O.W. 14489 and the accompanying Schedule held
in the office of the Resident Engineer, Ministry of Works,
New Plymouth, and there available for public inspection, to be
a limited access road.

No. 54 State Highway (Mangaweka-Palmerston North) from
its junction with South Street, at Feilding Borough Boundary,
generally southwards to Te Arakura Corner, as more particularly
shown on Sheets 1 and 2 of M.O.W. 14447 and the
accompanying Schedule held in the office of the Resident
Engineer, Ministry of Works, Palmerston North, and there
available for public inspection, to be a limited access road.

available for public inspection, to be a limited access road.

Authority has been requested by the Minister of Industries
and Commerce to undertake an inquiry, in terms of the Tariff
and Development Board Amendment Act 1967, concerning
the following goods:

Nail files of abrasive coated paper, cloth, or other material,
on a backing of other material, falling within Tariff item
68.06.01.

Consenting to Raising of Loans by Certain Local Authorities

PURSUANT to section 3 of the Local Authorities Loans Act
1956 (as amended by section 3 (1) of the Local Authorities
Loans Amendment Act 1967), the undersigned Assistant
Secretary to the Treasury, acting under powers delegated
to the Secretary to the Treasury by the Minister of Finance,

Boundaries of Borough of Alexandra, County of Vincent,
and the Dunstan and Earnscleugh Ridings of County of
Vincent Defined

PURSUANT to section 26 of the Municipal Corporations Act
1954 and section 16 of the Counties Act 1956, the Secretary
for Internal Affairs hereby defines, as set out in the Schedule
hereto, the boundaries of the Borough of Alexandra, the
County of Vincent, and the Dunstan and Earnscleugh Ridings
of the County of Vincent; the previous boundaries having
been altered by Orders in Council made on 29 August 1962,
published in Gazette 30 August 1962, No. 55, page 1415; and
on 6 September 1967, published in Gazette 16 September
1967, No. 56, page 1515.

SCHEDULE

BOUNDS OF BOROUGH OF ALEXANDRA

ALL that area in the Otago Land District, bounded by a line
commencing at the northernmost corner of Section 1, Block
38, Town of Alexandra, and proceeding south-easterly along
the north-eastern boundary of the Town of Alexandra to the
right bank of the Manuherikia River; thence generally south-
westerly along the right bank of that river and generally
north-westerly along the left bank of the Clutha River to a
point in line with the south-eastern boundary of Section 6,
Block I, Fraser Survey District; thence south-westerly to
and along that boundary to the right bank of the Clutha
River; thence generally southerly along that right bank to a
point in line with the south-western boundary of Section 86,
Block I, Fraser Survey District; thence generally north-
westerly to and along the south-western boundary of Section
86 aforesaid and the production of the last-mentioned boundary
to the north-western side of No. 8 State Highway;
thence generally south-westerly and northerly along the north-
western side of that highway and the generally eastern side
of Golf Links Road to the northernmost corner of Lot 1,
D.P. 7610; thence north-westerly along a right line to the
south-eastern corner of Lot 2, D.P. 8697; thence generally
northerly along the western side of Golf Links Road to the
south-eastern corner of Section 84, Block I, Fraser Survey
District; thence north-westerly along the north-eastern boundary
of Section 84 to the westernmost corner of Lot 1, D.P.
10335; thence north-easterly along the north-western boundary
of Lot 1 aforesaid and north-westerly along the production
of the north-eastern boundary of that Lot 1 to the
north-western side of Earnscleugh Road; thence generally
easterly along the northern side of Earnscleugh Road to the
western corner of Section 179, Block I, Fraser Survey District;
thence north-easterly along the north-western boundary of
Section 179 and its production to the left bank of the Clutha
River; thence generally north-westerly along that left bank
to the westernmost corner of the Town of Alexandra; thence
north-easterly along the north-western boundary of the Town
of Alexandra to the easternmost corner of Section 84, Block
VII, Leaning Rock Survey District; thence north-westerly
along the north-eastern boundary of that section to the
southernmost corner of Section 88, Block VII, aforesaid;
thence north-easterly along the south-eastern boundary of
that section to the south-western side of No. 8 State Highway;
thence south-easterly along a right line to a point on the
north-western boundary of the Town of Alexandra on the
south-western side of No. 8 State Highway; thence north-
easterly along the north-western boundary of the Town of
Alexandra to the point of commencement.

BOUNDS OF COUNTY OF VINCENT

ALL that area in the Otago Land District, bounded by a line
commencing at Mount Alba on the western boundary of
Young Survey District and proceeding generally north-easterly
along the summit of the Southern Alps to Mount Strauchan;
thence generally southerly along the summit of an unnamed
mountain range passing through Mount Huxley, Mount
Barth, Mount Rigel, Mount Gladwish, Birch Hill, Mount
Martha, Mount Melina, Pavilian Peak, Dromedary Hill,
Longslip Mount, Lindis Pass, and Old Man Peak to the
westernmost point of Run 201B; thence generally southerly
along the western boundaries of Runs 201B, 201G, 201E, and
201F to Trig Station A.A., Mount St. Bathans; thence south-
westerly along a right line to Trig Station G.S., Nicholas
Peak; thence southerly and south-westerly along the eastern
and south-eastern boundaries of Run 237F to the northern-
most corner of Run 226B; thence south-easterly along the
north-eastern boundary of Run 226B to a point approximately
50 chains from that corner; thence south-westerly to the
