HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL PURSUANT to the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Act 1941, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby amends the Order in Council dated 15 June 1966 and published in Gazette, 30 June 1966, No. 39, page 1026, by deleting "the officer for the time being holding office as Scientist, Geological Survey, Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, Dunedin", and substituting "Alan James Harris, Scientist, Grasslands Division, Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, Gore".

Wanganui Savings Bank Order 1963, Amendment No. 2 ARTHUR PORRITT, Governor-General ORDER IN COUNCIL At the Government House at Wellington this 15th day of July 1968 Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL PURSUANT to the Trustee Savings Banks Act 1948, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.
ORDER 1. Title-This order may be cited as the Wanganui Savings Bank Order 1963, Amendment No. 2, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Wanganui Savings Bank Order 1963 (hereinafter referred to as the principal order). 2. Investments-Clause 11 of the principal order (as substituted by clause 2 of the Wanganui Savings Bank Order 1963, Amendment No. 1, and as amended by section 7 of the Decimal Currency Act 1964) is hereby further amended as follows: (a) By omitting from paragraph (a) of subclause (1) the words "90 per cent" and substituting the words "70 percent": (b) By omitting from paragraph (b) of subclause (1) the figure "$1,800,000" and substituting the figure "$1,400,000".

Authorising the Magistrates' Courts at Cambridge and Otorohanga to Deal with Matters under the Destitute Persons Act 1910 and the Imprisonment for Debt Limitation Act 1908 ARTHUR PORRITT, Governor-General PURSUANT to subsection (3) of section 4 of the Magistrates' Courts Act 1947, I, Sir Arthur Espie Porritt, Baronet, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby authorise the Magistrates' Courts at Cambridge and Otorohanga to deal with matters arising under the Destitute Persons Act 1910, or under any rules or regulations made under that Act, and with matters arising under the Imprisonment for Debt Limitation Act 1908, or under any rules made as respects Magistrates' Courts, pursuant to section 2 of that Act, and I do declare that this authorisation shall have effect on and from the 31st day of August 1968. Discontinuing Civil Jurisdiction at the Magistrates' Courts at Cambridge and Otorohanga ARTHUR PORRITT, Governor-General WHEREAS, by an instrument dated the 15th day of December 1948, published in the Gazette on the 16th day of the same month at p. 1542, the Boroughs of Cambridge and Otorohanga were appointed as boroughs in which Magistrates' Courts might be held for the exercise of civil jurisdiction: And whereas it is expedient to revoke the said appointments: Now, therefore, I, Sir Arthur Espie Porritt, Baronet, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting pursuant to subsection (5) of section 4 of the Magistrates' Courts Act 1947, do hereby revoke the appointments of the Boroughs of Cambridge and Otorohanga and do declare that this revocation shall take effect on and after the 31st day of August 1968. Appointments, Promotions, and Terminations of Appointment in the Royal New Zealand Navy PURSUANT to the Navy Act 1954, His Excellency the Governor-General has approved the following appointments, promotions, and terminations of appointment in the Royal New Zealand Navy. Commander V. W. Were, granted temporary rank of Captain whilst holding present post, to date 27 May 1968. Lieutenant Commander G. A. Hannan, engagement extended to 23 July 1970. Lieutenant Commander T. A. Riddell, to be granted temporary rank of Commander whilst holding present post, to date 6 July 1968.
