GENERAL DUTIES BRANCH

Appointments

Christopher Robert James Peters (81319) is granted a short-service commission in the General Duties Branch, Regular Air Force, for a period ending 6 January 1976, to be followed by 4 years in the Reserve of Air Force Officers. He is appointed in the rank of Acting Pilot Officer, with effect from 22 September 1967.

Christopher David Shaw (83468) is granted a short-service commission in the General Duties Branch, Regular Air Force, for a period ending 30 April 1976. He is appointed in the rank of Acting Pilot Officer, with effect from 1 May 1968.

Cancellation of Commission

The short-service commission of Acting Pilot Officer Alan Graeme McEwan (83100) is hereby cancelled, with effect from 30 April 1968.

TECHNICAL BRANCH

Transfer to Retired List

Engineer Division

Squadron Leader Denis Crowe (70393) is transferred to the Retired List "A", with effect from 5 June 1968.

ADMINISTRATIVE AND SUPPLY BRANCH

Transfer to Retired List

Special Duties Division

Squadron Leader Colin James Fraser (70100) is transferred to the Retired List "A", with effect from 1 June 1968.

RESERVE OF AIR FORCE OFFICERS

Extension of Commission and Date of Retirement

Flight Lieutenant (temp.) Charles Andrew Moroney, B.A. (133405), is granted an extension of his commission and age for retirement until 15 May 1976.

Transfer

Squadron Leader Roy Runciman Carter (70176) is transferred from the General Duties Branch, Regular Air Force, to the Reserve of Air Force Officers for a period ending 31 March 1972, with effect from 13 June 1968.

Terminations of Commissions

The commissions of the under-mentioned officers are terminated, with effect from 18 June 1968:

Flight Lieutenant Brian Stanley Standbrook (79205).
Flying Officer Joseph Rowland Stanley (130772).

Retirement

Flying Officer Leo Edward Smith (132882) is retired, with effect from 21 June 1968.

AIR TRAINING CORPS

Promotion

Pilot Officer Delwyn Ross Linkhorn to be Flying Officer, with seniority and effect from 30 May 1968.

Termination of Honorary Commission

The honorary commission of Flying Officer Roger Malcolm Buckton, A.R.C.M., A.C.A., is terminated, with effect from 18 June 1968.

Revocation of Appointments of Approvals to Issue Warrants of Fitness

Pursuant to regulation 52 of the Traffic Regulations 1956*, the Minister of Transport hereby revokes, as from 30 July 1968, all appointments or approvals for the issue of warrants of fitness for motor vehicles (other than appointments or approvals issued to officers of the Crown) heretofore made or given, as the case may be, in terms of the said regulations, for any person or firm whose place of examination for the purpose of issue of warrants of fitness is situated within the area described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

The whole of the area situated within a 6 mile radius of the Ashburton Post Office.
