Promotions, Extension of Commission, Amendment, Transfers, Terminations of Commissions, and Retirements of Officers of the Royal New Zealand Air Force

PURSUANT to section 15 of the Royal New Zealand Air Force Act 1950, His Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to approve the following promotions, extension of commission, amendment, transfers, terminations of commissions, and retirements of officers of the Royal New Zealand Air Force.

RESERVE OF AIR FORCE OFFICERS

Promotions

The under-mentioned Flying Officers to be temporary Flight Lieutenants, with effect from the dates shown:

Julian Michael Mathieson (715818), 13 February 1965.
David Murray McDonald (79477), 24 July 1967.

Transfers

Flight Lieutenant Gary Alexander Wrathall (78276) is transferred from the General Duties Branch, Regular Air Force, to the Reserve of Air Force Officers for a period ending 3 March 1972, with effect from 4 March 1968.

Terminations of Commissions

The commissions of the under-mentioned officers are terminated, with effect from the dates shown:

AIR TRAINING CORPS

Termination of Commission

The commission of Acting Pilot Officer John Richard Henry Atkinson is terminated, with effect from 8 May 1968.

WOMEN’S ROYAL NEW ZEALAND AIR FORCE

Extension of Commission

Section Officer Mary Eileen Maloney (81353) is granted an extension of her commission until 5 July 1970.

Amendment

The notice published in the Gazette, 15 February 1968, No. 7, page 210, relating to Assistant Section Officer Virginia Ann Frost (81955) is hereby amended to read “Assistant Section Officer Virginia Nan Frost (81955) is granted a commission in the Women’s Royal New Zealand Air Force for a period ending 16 October 1970, with seniority and effect from 17 October 1967.”

Appointment of High Commissioner for New Zealand in Western Samoa


His Excellency the Governor-General in Council has been pleased to appoint

Richard Basil Taylor

to be High Commissioner for New Zealand in Western Samoa under and for the purposes of the External Affairs Act 1943, to hold the said office as from the 17th day of May 1968 until the 16th day of May 1971.
