ORDER

This order may be cited as the Alfredton Road Cemetery Closing and Clearance Order 1968.
-
It is hereby directed that the Alfredton Road Cemetery, being the area described in the Schedule hereto, shall be closed and burials therein discontinued after the 30th day of November 1968, and it is hereby further directed that, notwithstanding anything in section 41 or section 42 of the Burial and Cremation Act 1964, no further burials shall take place in that cemetery after that day.

As from the 30th day of November 1968 the control and management of the closed Alfredton Road Cemetery shall vest in the Ekatahuna Borough Council.

The Ekatahuna Borough Council is hereby authorised to remove all monuments and tablets erected in the closed Alfredton Road Cemetery.
SCHEDULE
ALL that area in the Wellington Land District containing 3 roods 15 perches, more or less, and being Lot 2 of Section 40, Block VI, Mangaone Survey District.

PURSUANT to the Land and Income Tax Act 1954, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.
ORDER
-
This order may be cited as the Land and Income Tax Payment Order 1968.
-
Expressions used in this order have the same meanings as in the Land and Income Tax Act 1954.
-
This order applies to:
(a) Land tax for the year of assessment which commenced on the 1st day of April 1968; and
(b) Income tax payable for that year of assessment on income derived (or deemed to have been derived) during the income year which commenced on the 1st day of April 1967 byβ
(i) Every subsisting company otherwise than as trustee or agent:
(ii) Every public authority otherwise than as trustee or agent:
(iii) Every Maori authority.

Land tax shall be due and payable in one sum on the 7th day of October 1968.

Income tax to which this order applies shall be due and payable in one sum on the 7th day of February 1969.
-
Land tax and income tax to which this order applies shall be payable at any office of the Inland Revenue Department, or at any money-order post office.

His Excellency the Governor-General in Council has been pleased to appoint

to be the High Commissioner for New Zealand in the United Kingdom under and for the purposes of the External Affairs Act 1943, to hold the said office as on and from the 10th day of May 1968 until the 9th day of May 1971.
