HOKITIKA BOROUGH COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Hokitika Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $24,000 authorised to be raised by the Hokitika Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for purchasing land and existing houses or purchasing land and erecting houses thereon, the said Hokitika Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of 0.37 cents in the dollar upon the rateable value of all rateable property of whole of the Borough of Hokitika; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 25 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

PAPATOETOE CITY COUNCIL
TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953
IN the matter of the Town and Country Planning Act 1953 and in the matter of an application for consent to change of use under section 38A of the Town and Country Planning Act 1953 by Emily Elsie May Quail, of 537 Great South Road, Papatoetoe, married woman.
NOTICE is hereby given that application has been made by Emily Elsie May Quail, of Papatoetoe, married woman, for consent to a change of use permitting the erection of a glass-house on the property more particularly described hereunder. The property is on the western side of the Great South Road being No. 537, Great South Road, and is located in the Papatoetoe District.
The legal description of the land is Lot 7, Deposited Plan No. 17477.
The application may be examined at the office of the Papatoetoe City Council, St. George Street, Papatoetoe, during normal office hours and any person or body affected may object to the application by notice in writing delivered to the Town Clerk, Papatoetoe City Council, P.O. Box 23276, Papatoetoe, not later than 4 p.m. on the 31st day of May 1968.
Every objector shall state the grounds of the objection and whether the objector wishes to be heard by the Council in support of his objection.

PURSUANT to section 38 of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, notice is hereby given that a poll of ratepayers of the Moeraki Water Supply District taken on 20 April 1968 on the proposal of the above-named local authority to raise a loan of $18,000, to be known as the Moeraki Water Supply Loan, 1967, for the purpose of providing a water supply system in the Moeraki Water Supply District resulted as follows:
The number of votes recorded for the proposal was … 43 The number of votes recorded against the proposal was … 17 The number of informal votes was … nil
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

Ohinemuri County Council, to borrow the sum of $9,750 for the purpose of acquiring and developing land for a motor camp resulted as follows:
The number of votes recorded for the proposal was … 209 The number of votes recorded against the proposal was … 90 The number of informal votes was … Nil.
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

BRYANT NURSERY TRUST BOARD ENABLING BILL
IN the matter of the Standing Orders of the House of Representatives relating to Private Bills, and in the matter of a Private Bill intitled “An Act to empower the Bryant Nursery Trust Board to transfer all its assets to the Mary Bryant Trust Board a newly constituted Trust Board set up to take over the work previously carried out by the Bryant Nursery Trust Board.”
Notice is hereby given that Bryant Nursery Trust Board intends to apply for leave to bring into the House of Representatives the above-mentioned Private Bill.
The object of the proposed Bill is as set out above.
The promoter of the Bill is Bryant Nursery Trust Board, whose address for service is at the offices of Messrs McCaw, Smith, and Arcus, Commercial Bank Building, 320 Victoria Street, Hamilton.
A copy of the proposed Bill may be inspected at the above address.

AWATERE COUNTY COUNCIL
MAINTENANCE RATES FOR AWATERE WATER SUPPLY DISTRICTS
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on it in that behalf by the Counties Act 1956 and the Rating Act 1967 and amendments and regulations made thereunder and of all other powers enabling it, the Awatere County Council hereby resolves by way of special order that the rating system in respect of the separate rates to be made and levied for the purpose of maintenance of the Awatere water supply and its extensions shall be on the basis of capital value.
