BOUNDARIES OF OPAKI RIDING OF COUNTY OF MASTER TON

ALL that area in the Wellington Land District being portion of the County of Masterton bounded by a line commencing at a point on a right line between Trig. Stations I (Mt. Dundas) and AA (Arawaru) bearing 297° from Trig. Station K (Tawhero) in Block XIII, Tararua S.D., and proceeding generally south-easterly along a right line to that Trig. Station and along the summit of the Tawhero Range to the north-western boundary of Section 9, Block IV, Mikimiki S.D.; thence south-westerly along that boundary and its production to the middle of the Ruamahanga River; thence generally south-easterly down the middle of that river to a point in line with the north-western boundary of Section 71, Opaki District, in Block VIII, Mikimiki S.D., to and along that boundary and the north-eastern and south-eastern boundaries of that section to a point in line with the south-western boundary of Section 69, Opaki District, and along a right line to the westernmost corner of the said Section 69; thence generally easterly along the northern boundary of the said Section 69, the western and northern boundaries of Section 27, Block V, Kopuaranga S.D., the production of the last-mentioned boundary across Jacksons Line, along the eastern side of that road, the northern boundary of Section 70, Opaki District (including the crossing of a road), and its production to the middle of the Kopuaranga River, up the middle of that river to a point in line with the southern boundary of Section 51, Rangitumau District, and to and along that boundary to the north-western corner of Section 88, Block V, Kopuaranga S.D.; thence generally southerly along the western boundaries of Sections 88, 86, and 84, Block V, Kopuaranga S.D., the western and southern boundaries of Section 82, Block IX, Kopuaranga S.D., the western and north-western boundaries of Lot 5, D.P. 16469, the production of the last-mentioned boundary to the middle of the Kopuaranga River, down the middle of that river to a point in line with the north-western boundary of Section 20, Rangitumau District, to and along that boundary and the north-western boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 6335, and its production to the eastern side of the Opaki-Kaiparoro Road, along a right line to and along the north-western boundary of Lot 2, D.P. 6335, and its production to the middle of the Ruamahanga River, and down the middle of that river to the middle of No. 52 State Highway (Te Ore Ore Road); thence westerly along the middle of that road to a point in line with the south-eastern boundary of Lot 18, D.P. 16228; thence north-easterly and generally westerly along the boundaries of the Borough of Masterton hereinbefore described to a point on the north-western side of the Wellington-Napier Railway in line with the eastern boundary of Lot 2, D.P. 26961; thence south-westerly along the north-western side of the railway aforesaid for a distance of 1714.4 links, and along a right line bearing 285° 04' to the eastern boundary of Section 135, Masterton Small Farm Settlement; thence southerly along that boundary and its production to and along the eastern boundary of Section 137, Masterton Small Farm Settlement, and its production to and along the western boundaries of Section 50, Manaia District, and Lots 9, 10, and 11, D.P. 16823, and their production to the middle of the Waingawa River; thence generally north-westerly and north-easterly along the boundaries of the County of Masterton hereinbefore described to the point of commencement.

BOUNDARIES OF WAINUIORU RIDING OF COUNTY OF MASTER TON

ALL that area in the Wellington Land District being portion of the County of Masterton bounded by a line commencing at a point in the middle of the Tauweru River in line with the northern boundary of Section 575, Whareama District, in Block VII, Otahoua S.D., and proceeding generally easterly and southerly along the boundaries of Uruti Riding as described in Gazette, 1958, page 1261, to the southernmost corner of Section 11, Block IV, Kaiwhata S.D.; thence generally north-westerly along the boundaries of the County of Masterton hereinbefore described to the confluence of the Pohatu Stream and the Tauweru River; thence up the middle of the Tauweru River to the point of commencement.

BOUNDARIES OF TE WHITI RIDING OF COUNTY OF MASTER TON

ALL that area in the Wellington Land District being portion of the County of Masterton bounded by a line commencing at a point in the middle of the Waingawa River in line with the western boundary of Lot 11, D.P. 16823, in Block IV, Tiffin S.D., and proceeding northerly and easterly along the boundaries of Opaki Riding hereinbefore described to a point on the north-western boundary of the Wellington-Napier Railway in line with the eastern boundary of Lot 2, D.P. 26961; thence generally south-easterly and north-easterly along the boundaries of the Borough of Masterton hereinbefore described to a point in the middle of No. 52 State Highway (Te Ore Ore Road) in line with the eastern boundary of Lot 18, D.P. 16228; thence south-easterly along the middle of that road to the middle of the Ruamahanga River, and up the middle of that river to a point in line with the northern side of No. 52 State Highway; thence easterly to and along that side to a point in line with the eastern boundary of Section 5, Tauweru District; thence southerly to and along that boundary and its production to the middle of the Tauweru River; thence down the middle of that river and up the middle of the Ruamahanga and Waingawa Rivers to the point of commencement.

ALL that area in the Wellington Land District being portion of the County of Wairarapa South bounded by a line commencing at a point in the middle of the Tauweru River in line with the south-eastern boundary of Lot 2, D.P. 6099, in Block XIII, Otahoua S.D., and proceeding generally north-easterly, south-easterly, south-westerly, and north-westerly along the boundaries of the County of Wairarapa South hereinbefore described to a point in the middle of a road in line with the eastern boundary of Section 290, Pahaoa District, in Block X, Wainuioru S.D., thence generally north-westerly along the boundaries of South Riding as described in Gazette, 1965, pages 1267 and 1493, to the point of commencement.

Bounds of Borough of Feilding, County of Manawatu, and Mount Stewart Riding of County of Manawatu Defined

PURSUANT to section 26 of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 and section 16 of the Counties Act 1956, the Secretary for Internal Affairs hereby defines, as set out in the Schedule hereto, the boundaries of the Borough of Feilding, the County of Manawatu, and the Mount Stewart Riding of the County of Manawatu; the previous boundaries having been altered by an Order in Council made on 12 February 1968, and published in Gazette, 15 February 1968, No. 7, page 209.
