At Whangaparaoa—

All that area of Whangaparaoa Peninsula, bounded by a line commencing at a point on the north-eastern side of Whangaparaoa Road at its intersection with Viponds Road; then north-easterly by a right line to a point on the northern shore of the said peninsula; then easterly generally along the said shore line to a point due north of the end of Whangaparaoa Road; then due south by a right line across the end of Whangaparaoa Road to the southern shore line of the Whangaparaoa Peninsula; then westerly generally along the said shore line to a point due south of the intersection of D’Oyly Drive with Whangaparaoa Road; then due north by a right line to a point on the south-western side of Whangaparaoa Road opposite the north-western side of D’Oyly Drive; then across Whangaparaoa Road at right-angles from its south-western side to its north-eastern side; then north-westerly generally along the side of the said road to its intersection with Viponds Road; then by a right line across Viponds Road to the commencing point.

The Traffic (Waitemata County) Notice No. 2, 1968

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Waitemata County) Notice No. 2, 1968.
  2. The areas and roads specified in the First Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be closely populated localities for the purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.
  3. The roads specified in the Second Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be limited speed zones for the purposes of regulation 27 of the Traffic Regulations 1956*.
  4. The Warrant under section 52 of the Transport Act 1962 and regulation 27 of the Traffic Regulations 1956* dated the 6th day of July 1967† which relates to areas in Waitemata County is hereby revoked.

FIRST SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Waitemata County:

At Laingholm and Laingholm Central—

All that area bounded by a line commencing at a point on the eastern side of Laingholm Drive 15 chains measured northerly generally along the said roadside from Janet Road; then across Laingholm Drive at right-angles to its eastern side, to its western side; then westerly generally by a right line to a point on the north-eastern side of Victory Road 10 chains measured northerly generally along the said roadside from Hastings Road; then due south-west by a right line across Victory Road to the north-eastern bank of the Big Muddy Creek; then south-easterly generally along the said bank to the shore of the Manukau Harbour; then north-easterly generally along the said shore to the western bank of the Little Muddy Creek; then northerly generally along the said bank to a point opposite the commencing point; then to the commencing point.

At Titirangi and Green Bay—

All that area bounded by a line commencing at a point on the shore of the Manukau Harbour where the western boundary of Auckland city meets the eastern boundary of Waitemata County; then northerly generally along the western boundary of Auckland city to the southern boundary of New Lynn Borough; then westerly generally along the southern boundary of New Lynn Borough to the southern boundary of Glen Eden Borough; then westerly generally along the southern boundary of Glen Eden Borough to the south-western side of View Road; then southerly generally by a right line to the southern terminating point of Phillips Avenue and along the prolongation of the aforesaid right line to the northern side of the Waitakere Scenic Drive; then south-easterly generally along the northern side of the Waitakere Scenic Drive to a point 3 chains measured southerly generally along the said roadside from Huia Road; then south-easterly generally across the Waitakere Scenic Drive at right-angles to its north-western side to its south-eastern side; then north-easterly generally along the south-eastern side of the said roadside to the western side of Huia Road; then southerly and westerly generally along the western and northern sides of Huia Road to a point 26 chains measured south-westerly generally along the said roadside from the Waitakere Scenic Drive; then easterly generally across Huia Road at right-angles to its north-western side to its south-eastern side; then south-westerly generally along the south-eastern side of Huia Road to the northern side of the Landing; then easterly generally along the northern side of the Landing to the eastern bank of the Little Muddy Creek; then southerly generally along the said eastern bank to the shore of the Manukau Harbour; then north-easterly generally along the said shore to the commencing point.

Harbour View Road (from Waima Road to a point 2 chains measured westerly generally along Harbour View Road from York Road).

Harbour View Road (from Huia Road to a point 2 chains measured easterly generally along Harbour View Road from York Road).

Foster Bay Road.
Huia Road (from a point 20 chains measured south-westerly generally from Foster Bay Road to a point 32 chains measured north-easterly generally along Huia Road from Foster Bay Road).

At Laingholm and Laingholm Central—

Karen Road (formerly known as Richards Road).
Victory Road (from a point 10 chains measured northerly generally along the said road from Hastings Road to a point 8 chains measured southerly generally along Victory Road from Huia Road).

At Parau—

Armour Road.
Bayview Road.
Huia Road (from the Parau Track to a point 12 chains measured south-westerly generally along Huia Road from Bayview Road).

At Titirangi—

Waima Road (from the Waitakere Scenic Drive to Waima Crescent).
Waitakere Scenic Drive (from View Road to Tawini Road).
