BOUNDARIES OF CITY OF INVERCARGILL
ALL that area of land in the Southland Land District bounded
by a line commencing at the south-eastern corner of part
Section 33, Block XV, Invercargill Hundred, and proceeding
northerly along the eastern boundaries of the said part Sec-
tion 33 and Lot 1, D.P. 4400, and its production across Bay
Road, to and along the eastern boundaries of part Section 5,
and Lot 1, D.P. 6686, and the production of the last-mentioned
boundary to the middle of Renfrew Street; thence easterly
along the middle of Renfrew Street to a point in line with
the middle of a public road forming the eastern boundaries
of Sections 91, 78, 65, and 52, Block XV, Invercargill Hundred,
and Lots 5 and 10, Block A, D.P. 53; thence northerly along
the middle of the said public road to the middle of West
Plains Road; thence easterly along the middle of West Plains
Road to a point in line with the western boundary of Lot 8,
D.P. 5824; thence northerly along a right line to the south-
western corner of the said Lot 8; thence easterly along its
southern boundary, to and northerly along the western
boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 5824, to its north-westernmost cor-
ner; thence easterly along the northern boundaries of the said
Lot 1, Lot 1, D.P. 4517, Lots 2, 3, 4, 5, D.P. 5824, to and
across Hunt Road to and along the northern boundaries of
Lots 6 and 7, D.P. 5824, to the eastern boundary of Lot 1,
D.P. 3659; thence northerly along that boundary to the south-
ern boundary of Lot 4, D.P. 2323; thence easterly along that
boundary and its production to and southerly along the
eastern side of No. 6 National State Highway, to the northern
boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 3739; thence easterly and southerly
along the northern and eastern boundaries of the said Lot 1
and the production of the last-mentioned boundary to a
point in line with the northern boundary of part Lot 26,
D.P. 5; thence easterly along a right line to and along that
boundary to the western boundary of part Section 15, Block
IV, Invercargill Hundred; thence southerly along the western
boundaries of the said part Section 15, Lots 1 and 2, D.P. 431,
and part Section 15 aforesaid to a line parallel to and distant
250 links north of the northern side of Bainfield Road; thence
easterly along that line to a point in line with the eastern
boundaries of Lots 1, 2, 3, and 4, D.P. 4855, being also the
production of a line parallel to and distant 250 links east of
the eastern side of Elles Road North; thence southerly along
that line to the north-eastern boundary of part Section 10,
Block IV, Invercargill Hundred; thence south-easterly along
that boundary to the western boundary of Lot 2, D.P. 1764;
thence southerly along the western boundary of that lot and
its production to the northern boundary of Section 89, Block
I, Invercargill Hundred; thence generally easterly along the
northern boundary of that section and its production to its
intersection with the centre line of the new channel of the
Waihopai River as shown on S.O. 6730; thence to and along
the said centre line and its production to its intersection with
a line parallel to and 300 links north-east of the middle of
Racecourse Road; thence south-easterly along the said line
to the north-western boundary of part Section 3, Block II,
Invercargill Hundred; thence north-easterly along the said
boundary to a line running parallel to and distant 300 links
north-east of the north-eastern side of Racecourse Road;
thence south-easterly along that line to its intersection with
the south-eastern boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 5061; thence north-
easterly along the south-eastern boundary of D.P. 5061 to its
south-easternmost corner; thence south-easterly along the
western boundary of Section 9, Block II, Invercargill Hundred,
to and south-westerly along the north-western side of Findlay
Road, and its production to the middle of Racecourse Road;
thence south-easterly along the middle of Racecourse Road
to a point in line with the south-eastern boundary of Section
6, Block II, Invercargill Hundred; thence north-easterly to
and along that boundary to a point in line with the north-
eastern boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 4597; thence south-easterly
to and along the north-eastern boundaries of Lots 1 and 2,
D.P. 4597, along a right line to and along the north-eastern
boundaries of Lots 3, 4, and 5 on the said D.P. 4597, to the
north-western boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 3172; thence north-
easterly along the north-western boundary of the said Lot 1
to its north-easternmost corner; thence south-easterly along
the south-eastern boundary of the said Lot 1 to the north-
western side of No. 1 National State Highway; thence south-
westerly along the north-western side of the said highway
and its production to the middle of Rockdale Road; thence
south-easterly along the middle of Rockdale Road to a point
in line with the south-eastern boundary of part Section 3
of 43, Block II, aforesaid; thence north-easterly to and along
that boundary to a line parallel to and distant 300 links east
of the middle of Rockdale Road; thence south-easterly along
the said line to the northern side of an unformed road being
the extension of Tramway Road; thence westerly along the
northern side of the said unformed road to the eastern side
of Rockdale Road; thence southerly along a right line across
the said unformed road to and along the eastern side of
Rockdale Road to a line parallel to and distant 300 links
south of the middle of Tramway Road; thence westerly along
the said line to the western boundary of part Section 2, Block
II, Town of Seaward Bush; thence southerly along the west-
ern boundary of the said part Section 2 to the northern
boundary of Section 24, Block II, aforesaid; thence westerly
and southerly along the northern and western boundaries of
the said Section 24 to the northern side of McQuarry Street
and along a right line to the north-western corner of Section
27, Block II, aforesaid; thence southerly along the western
boundaries of the said Section 27 and Section 52, Block II,
aforesaid, to Moulson Street, and along a right line across
Moulson Street, the Seaward Bush branch railway, Scott
Street, and Ball Street, to the north-western corner of part
Section 56, Block II, aforesaid; thence southerly along the
western boundaries of the said part Section 56 and Section
91, Block II, aforesaid, and the production of the last-
mentioned boundary to the southern side of Maher Street;
thence westerly along the southern side of Maher Street to
the north-western corner of Lot 19, Block VIII, D.P. III;

western corner; thence southerly along the western boundary
of the said Lot 1, to the north-eastern side of Bain Street;
thence south-easterly along the north-eastern side of Bain
Street to a point in line with the north-western boundary of
Lot 2, D.P. 1537; thence south-westerly to and along the
north-western boundaries of Lots 2 and 1, D.P. 1537, and part
Section 46, Block XIX, Invercargill Hundred, to the north-
eastern side of the No. 1 State Highway; thence south-easterly
along the north-eastern side of the said State highway to a
point in line with the north-western boundary of Section 21,

and along the north-western boundary of that section to and
along a right line across a public road to and along the
north-western boundary of Section 13, Block XIX, Invercar-
gill Hundred, to its north-western corner; thence northerly
generally along the eastern, southern, and western boundaries
of the said part Section 10 to the south-eastern side of Stead
Street, to the north-eastern corner of part of Section 10, Block
III, aforesaid; thence southerly, westerly, and northerly
generally along the eastern, southern, and western boundaries
of the said part Section 10 to the south-eastern side of Stead
Street to a point in line with the north-eastern side of
Curran Road; thence generally north-westerly to and along
the north-eastern side of Curran Road to Otatara Road; thence
north-easterly along the south-eastern side of Otatara Road
and the south-eastern boundaries of Lot 1, D.P. 6248, and
Section 176, Block XV, Invercargill Hundred, to the western-
most corner of Lot 9, D.P. 822; thence south-easterly and
north-easterly along the south-western and south-eastern
boundaries of the said Lot 9 and Lots 8, 7, 6, 5, and 4, and
part Lots 3, 2, and 1, D.P. 822, to the south-eastern corner
of the last-mentioned lot; thence northerly along the eastern
boundary of the said part Lot 1, and the eastern boundary
of part Section 13, Block XV, aforesaid, to the south-eastern
side of Bay Road; thence north-easterly along the south-
eastern side of Bay Road to the north-eastern corner of Lot 1,
D.P. 2533; thence southerly, easterly, and southerly along the
eastern boundary of the said Lot 1, and the eastern, northern,
and eastern boundaries of Section 158, Block XV, aforesaid,
to the south-eastern corner of Section 158; thence generally
north-easterly along a right line to and along the south-
eastern boundaries of Section 32 and part Section 33, Block
XV, aforesaid, to the point of commencement.
BOUNDARIES OF BOROUGH OF WINTON
ALL that area in the Southland Land District, containing 570
acres, more or less, bounded by a line commencing at the
north-eastern corner of Section 49, Block I, Town of East
Winton, and proceeding southerly along the western side of
the Kingston Branch Railway Reserve, to and across No. 96
Provincial State Highway (Devon Street); thence easterly
along the southern side of the said highway to the north-west
corner of Section 12, Block IV, Town of East Winton; thence
southerly along the western boundary of the said Section 12
and southerly and easterly along the western and southern
boundaries of Section 7, Block IV, aforesaid, to a point in
line with the western boundary of Section 28, Block V, Town
of East Winton; thence southerly across Moore Road to and
along the western boundary of the said Section 28 and Section
29, Block V, aforesaid, and that boundary produced to the
southern side of a public road; thence westerly along that
southern side and its production across the Kingston Branch
Railway Reserve; thence south-easterly generally along the
south-western side of the said railway reserve, to a point in
line with the southern boundary of Lot 6, D.P. 1554; thence
westerly by a right line to and along the southern boundary
of the said Lot 6, across No. 6 National State Highway, to
and along the northern side of Dejoux Road, to the eastern
boundary of Section 2, Block VI, Winton Hundred; thence
northerly along the eastern boundary of the said Section 2
to the south-east corner of Lot 8, Deeds Plan 119; thence
