Fixing Date on Which Certain Returns Under the Fire Services Act 1949 are to be Furnished
PURSUANT to section 52 of the Fire Services Act 1949, it is hereby notified that the returns required by that section (as amended by the Fire Services Amendment Acts 1953, 1956, and 1959), showing the amount of premiums received by or due to fire insurance companies during the year ended 31 December 1967 shall be transmitted to the Fire Service Council in the manner prescribed by the said section on or before the 29th day of February 1968.

Licensing Wallace Raymond Bell, George Davidson Griffiths, and Peter Wynn-Williams to Occupy a Site for a Jetty and Slipway in McCormick’s Bay Channel, Avon-Heathcote Estuary
PURSUANT to the Harbours Act 1950, the Minister of Marine hereby licenses and permits Wallace Raymond Bell, George Davidson Griffiths, and Peter Wynn-Williams (hereinafter called the licensees which term shall include their administrators, executors or assigns unless the context requires a different construction) to use and occupy a part of the foreshore and bed of McCormick’s Bay Channel, Avon-Heathcote Estuary, as shown on plans marked M.D. 9551 and M.D. 9615 and deposited in the office of the Marine Department at Wellington, for the purpose of maintaining thereon a jetty and slipway as shown on the said plans, such licence to be held and enjoyed by the licensees upon and subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE
CONDITIONS
(1) This licence is subject to the Foreshore Licence Regulations 1960 and the provisions of those regulations shall, so far as applicable, apply hereto.
(2) The term of the licence shall be 14 years from the 1st day of September 1967.
(3) The premium payable by the licensees shall be six dollars ($6) and the annual sum so payable by the licensees shall be twenty dollars ($20).

Revoking the Foreshore Licence Issued to Wallace Raymond Bell, George Davidson Griffiths, and Peter Wynn-Williams for a Slipway in McCormick’s Bay Channel, Avon-Heathcote Estuary
PURSUANT to the Harbours Act 1950 the Minister of Marine hereby gives notice that the licence signed on 15 November 1967*, authorising Wallace Raymond Bell, George Davidson Griffiths, and Peter Wynn-Williams to use and occupy part of the foreshore and bed of McCormick’s Bay Channel, Avon-Heathcote Estuary as a site for a slipway as shown on plan M.D. 9551 is revoked.

The Motor Launch (Manuherikia River) Notice 1967—Alexandra Lakeside Domain Board
PURSUANT to the Motor Launch Regulations 1962*, the Minister of Marine hereby gives the following notice:
- (a) This notice may be cited as the Motor Launch (Manuherikia River) Notice 1967.
(b) This notice shall come into force on the date of its publication in the Gazette, and shall remain in force for a period of five years after that date.
- Subject to the conditions set forth in the Second Schedule hereto, regulations 11 and 12 of the Motor Launch Regulations 1962 shall not apply between the hours of 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. daily with respect to the area described in the First Schedule hereto.
FIRST SCHEDULE
ALL that area of water in the Manuherikia River between its confluence with Lake Roxburgh and a point 6 chains upstream.
SECOND SCHEDULE
On each bank at the edge of the river at its confluence with Lake Roxburgh, on each bank at the upstream limit of the area described in the First Schedule hereto, and at the site from where boats are launched there shall be placed a notice board measuring not less than 2 feet 6 inches by 2 feet painted bright orange with black lettering in the following form:
"NOTICE
MOTOR LAUNCH REGULATIONS 1962
BATHERS and fishermen are warned that there is no speed restriction for motor launches and water skiers between the hours of 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. daily in all that area of water in the Manuherikia River between its confluence with Lake Roxburgh and a point 6 chains upstream."

PURSUANT to the Motor Launch Regulations 1962*, the Minister of Marine hereby gives the following notice:
- (a) This notice may be cited as the Motor Launch (Lake Roxburgh) Notice 1967.
(b) This notice shall come into force on the date of its publication in the Gazette, and shall remain in force for a period of five years after that date.
- Subject to the conditions set forth in the Second Schedule hereto, regulations 11 and 12 of the Motor Launch Regulations 1962 shall not apply with respect to the area described in the First Schedule hereto.

ALL that area of water in Lake Roxburgh between the Alexandra Bridge and a point 25 chains upstream.
SECOND SCHEDULE
On the northern riverbank at each end of the area defined in the First Schedule hereto there shall be placed a notice board measuring not less than 2 feet 6 inches by 2 feet painted bright orange with black lettering in the following form:
"NOTICE
MOTOR LAUNCH REGULATIONS 1962
THERE is no speed restriction for motor launches and water skiers using all that area of water in Lake Roxburgh between the Alexandra Bridge and a point 25 chains upstream."

Exemption Order Under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1964
PURSUANT to the Motor Drivers Regulations 1964*, the Minister of Transport hereby orders and declares that the provisions of clause (1) of regulation 16 of the said regulations so far as they relate to the driving of heavy trade motors shall not apply to the persons hereinafter mentioned, but in lieu thereof the following provisions shall apply:
A motor driver’s licence issued under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1964* to the persons described in column 1 of the Schedule hereunder may authorise them to drive a heavy trade motor in the course of their employment for the employer described in column 2 of the said Schedule, but shall not authorise them, while they are under the age of 18 years, to drive a heavy trade motor for any other purpose.
