Additional Land Near Mangapehi Taken for the Purposes of North Island Main Trunk Railway

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of Railways hereby declares that, a sufficient agreement to that effect having been entered into, the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of the North Island Main Trunk Railway from and after the 11th day of December 1967.

Declaration that Lands are Public Reserves

PURSUANT to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby notifies that the following resolution was passed by the Northcote Borough Council on the 12th day of September 1967:

“That, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 13 of the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Northcote Borough Council hereby resolves that the pieces of land held by the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the said Borough in fee simple and described in the Schedule hereto shall be, and the same are hereby declared to be, public reserves for recreation purposes within the meaning of the said Act.”

2. The Waimate West County Council’s proposed classification of the roads as set out in the Schedule hereto is hereby approved.

3. So much of the Warrant dated the 6th day of October 1950† which relates to the classification of the roads described in the Schedule hereto is hereby revoked.
