Consenting to Raising of Loans by Certain Local Authorities

Pursuant to section 3 of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 (as amended by section 3 (1) of the Local Authorities Loans Amendment Act 1967), the undersigned Assistant Secretary to the Treasury, acting under powers delegated to the Secretary to the Treasury by the Minister of Finance, hereby consents to the borrowing by the local authorities mentioned in the Schedule hereto of the whole or any part of the respective amounts specified in that Schedule.

Infected Areas Declared Under the Citrus Canker Regulations 1952 (Notice No. Ag. 10152)

Pursuant to the Citrus Canker Regulations 1952 notice is hereby given that the parcels of land described in the Schedule hereto have been declared infected areas for the purposes of the said regulations.

SCHEDULE

ALL that parcel of land containing 100 acres, more or less, being situated in Sections 3 and 4, Block IX, Cape Survey District, the area more generally known as Pungarehu with frontages onto the main New Plymouth-Opunake Road on one side and the Pungarehu Road on another.

Infected Areas Declared Under the Citrus Canker Regulations 1952 (Notice No. Ag. 10153)

Pursuant to the Citrus Canker Regulations 1952 notice is hereby given that the parcels of land described in the Schedule hereto have been declared infected areas for the purposes of the said regulations.

SCHEDULE

ALL that parcel of land containing 160 acres, more or less, being situated in Section 83, Block VIII, Cape Survey District, the area more generally known as Okato with frontages onto the main New Plymouth-Opunake Road on one side and the Warea Road on another.

Revoking United Kingdom as Approved Supplier of Ships’ Meat (Notice No. Ag. 10156)

Pursuant to regulation 2(1) of the Ships’ Meat Lockers Regulations 1966*, the notice of the 16th day of January 1967†, specifying the countries as approved suppliers is hereby amended by revoking “United Kingdom” as an approved country.

Te Kaha Development Scheme Amending Notice 1967, No. 5

Whereas, by virtue of the notice described in the First Schedule hereto the land described in the Second Schedule hereto is subject to Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953 and it is desired to vary the same:

Now, therefore, pursuant to section 332 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the Board of Maori Affairs hereby gives notice as follows:

NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as the Te Kaha Development Scheme Amending Notice 1967, No. 5.

  2. The notice referred to in the First Schedule hereto is hereby amended by omitting all references to the land described in the Second Schedule hereto.

  3. The land described in the Second Schedule hereto is hereby released from Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953.

Reserve Bank of New Zealand

Pursuant to section 33 of the Reserve Bank of New Zealand Act 1964, the Reserve Bank, acting with the approval of the Minister of Finance, hereby gives notice that, as at the close of business on Friday, 10 November 1967, and until further notice, balances to be maintained in the Reserve Bank by each trading bank shall be equal to an amount which, when added to that bank’s holdings of Reserve Bank notes, as disclosed in that bank’s latest available weekly return of banking statistics under the Statistics Act 1955, will be not less than the aggregate of: 10 percent of that bank’s demand deposits in New Zealand, plus 3 percent of that bank’s time deposits in New Zealand as shown in the last preceding monthly return furnished by that bank in accordance with section 31 of the Reserve Bank of New Zealand Act 1964.
