Authorising a Secondary Use of Land in Block II, Tauhara Survey District, Taupo County, and Vesting Control and Management Thereof in the Taupo Borough Council

At the Government House at Wellington this 1st day of November 1967
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE ADMINISTRATOR OF THE GOVERNMENT IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section 37 of the Public Works Amendment Act 1948, His Excellency the Administrator of the Government, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.

ORDER

(a) The land described in the Schedule hereto, being land held primarily for the development of water power (Lake Taupo and the Waikato River Power Scheme) is hereby authorised to be applied also for recreation purposes which shall be a secondary use of the land.
(b) Part II of the Reserves and Domains Act 1953 shall apply to the said land.
(c) The control and management of the said land is hereby vested in the Taupo Borough Council.

SOUTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT

ALL those pieces of land, situated in Block II, Tauhara Survey District, described as follows:

0 1 20 Closed Street, Block XXXVIII, Town of Taupo.

As the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked M.O.W. 21636 (S.O. 44114) deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Authorising Secondary Uses of Land in Block XVI, Maungatautari Survey District, Matamata County, and Vesting the Control and Management Thereof in the Matamata County Council

HIS EXCELLENCY THE ADMINISTRATOR OF THE GOVERNMENT IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section 37 of the Public Works Amendment Act 1948, His Excellency the Administrator of the Government, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.

ORDER

(a) The land described in the Schedule hereto, being land held primarily for the development of water power (Arapuni Power Scheme) is hereby authorised to be applied also for recreation purposes which shall be secondary uses of the land.
(b) Part II of the Reserves and Domains Act 1953 shall apply to the said land.
(c) The control and management of the said land is hereby vested in the Matamata County Council.

Setting Apart Maori Freehold Land as a Maori Reservation

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government House at Wellington this 8th day of November 1967
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE ADMINISTRATOR OF THE GOVERNMENT IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section 439 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, His Excellency the Administrator of the Government, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby sets apart the Maori freehold land described in the Schedule hereto as a Maori reservation for the common use of the Maori people of the Ngapuhi, Ngatiwhatua Te Rarawa, Aupouri, and Ngatikahu tribes and all other Maori people resident in Tai Tokerau District.

Setting Apart Maori Freehold Land as a Maori Reservation

HIS EXCELLENCY THE ADMINISTRATOR OF THE GOVERNMENT IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section 439 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, His Excellency the Administrator of the Government, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby sets apart the Maori freehold land described in the Schedule hereto as a Maori reservation, to be known as Kiwinui (Burial Reserve), for the purpose of a burial ground for the common use and benefit of Moeke Waititi, his present wife Ripeka Wharepouri Waititi, and his sister Pirihiro Waitita or Iopa, and the descendants of any of these persons.

Boundaries of Waimea County and Nelson City Altered

HIS EXCELLENCY THE ADMINISTRATOR OF THE GOVERNMENT IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to the Local Government Commission Act 1961, His Excellency the Administrator of the Government, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order:

ORDER

  1. This order shall take effect on 1 April 1968.
  2. The area described in the Schedule hereto is hereby excluded from the County of Waimea and included in the City of Nelson.
  3. The alteration of the boundaries of the said County and the said City hereinbefore made shall be deemed to have been effected under the Municipal Corporations Act 1954.
