Revoking a Proclamation Defining the Middle Line of a Portion of a Transmission Line in Blocks VI, VII, and XI, Otahuhu Survey District, viz, the Whakamaru-Otahuhu 220 kV Transmission Line (Lake Taupo and the Waikato River Power Scheme)

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Brigadier Sir Bernard Edward Fergusson, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby revoke the Proclamation dated the 12th day of September 1956, and published in the Gazette, on the 13th day of the same month at page 1251, defining the middle line of a portion of a transmission line in Blocks VI, VII, and XI, Otahuhu Survey District, viz, the Whakamaru-Otahuhu 220 kV transmission line (Lake Taupo and the Waikato River Power scheme), in so far as it affects the land described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

COMMENCING at a point in Allotment 23, Manurewa Parish, approximately 50 links east of the western boundary thereof and approximately 335 links south of a legal road, and proceeding thence in a westerly direction for a distance of approximately 1 mile 75 chains and passing in, into, through or over the following lands, etc., viz, Allotment 23, Manurewa Parish (C.T. 766/229), part Allotment 22, Manurewa Parish (C.T. 758/70), part Allotment 55, Pakuranga Parish (C.T. 581/216), part Allotment 55, Pakuranga Parish (C.T. 581/215), parts Allotments 55 and 54, Pakuranga Parish (C.T. 581/214), part Allotment 54, Pakuranga Parish (C.T. 581/217), part Allotment 53, Pakuranga Parish (C.T. 941/253), Lot 1, D.P. 9824 (C.T. 286/170), Lot 1, D.P. 39543 (C.T. 610/176), part Lot 9, D.P. 13368 (C.T. 610/176), part Lot 8, D.P. 13368 (C.T. 923/1), part Lot 8, D.P. 13368, (C.T. 931/202), part Lot 6, D.P. 13368 (C.T. 832/35), Lot 13, D.P. 24310 (C.T. 803/72), Lot 14, D.P. 24310 (C.T. 1066/138), part Allotment 4, Manurewa Parish, D.P. 1728 (C.T. 1169/95), and part Allotment 4, Manurewa Parish D.P. 1728 (Proclamation 11891), and terminating at a point approximately 10 links from the eastern boundary thereof and approximately 540 links north of Baird’s Road, including all adjoining and intervening places, lands, reserves, roads, tracks, lakes, rivers, streams and water courses.

All in the North Auckland Land District, as the same is more particularly shown on the plan marked P.W.D. 151118, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Revoking a Wildlife Refuge in the Mangonui-Whangaroa Acclimatisation District

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to section 14 of the Wildlife Act 1953, I, Brigadier Sir Bernard Edward Fergusson, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby revoke that part of the Proclamation issued on the 20th day of February 1929*, declaring the area of land in the Mangonui-Whangaroa Acclimatisation District, described in the Schedule hereto, to be a sanctuary for the purposes of the Animals Protection and Game Act 1921–22.

SCHEDULE

MAUNGATANIWHA Forest Reserve: All that parcel of land situated in Blocks 6, 7, 9, and 10, Maungataniwha Survey District, Provincial District of Auckland, containing 3,097 acres, more or less. Bounded generally towards the north by lines 26,150 links, 8,000 links, 17,600 links, and 16,100 links; towards the east by Lots Nos. 37 and 41, Parish of Maungataniwha East, 3,000 links, 850 links, and 2,150 links; thence generally towards the south-east and south by lines 68,100 links, 4,480 links, 2,560 links, 4,380 links, 1,200 links, and 1,300 links, to the point of commencement, the latter linkages including Lot 124, Parish of Maungataniwha.

As the same is more particularly shown on plan marked I.A. 52/329 deposited in the Head Office, Department of Internal Affairs, Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 27th day of September 1967.

Land Taken for a Recreation Reserve in Blocks VIII, and XII, Hawkins Survey District

BERNARD FERGUSSON, Governor-General

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928 and section 15 of the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, I, Brigadier Sir Bernard Edward Fergusson, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for a recreation reserve; and I also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 9th day of October 1967.

SCHEDULE

CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT

ALL that piece of land containing 2 roods situated in Blocks VIII and XII, Hawkins Survey District, Canterbury R.D., being Lots 42 and 43, D.P. 173, and being part Rural Section 16807. All certificate of title, Volume 101, folio 173, Canterbury Land Registry.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 4th day of September 1967.
