generally south-westerly along the south-eastern boundary
of Section 3 aforesaid, the generally eastern boundaries of
Sections 13 and 14, Block IX, Manganui Survey District, and
Lot 2, D.P. 14266, to a point due north of the westernmost
corner of the south-western part of Section 20, Block X,
Manganui Survey District; thence due south to the middle
of the Manganuioteao River; thence generally westerly along
the middle of that river to a point in line with the south-
western boundary of Section 5, Block IX, Manganui Survey
District, to and along that boundary, the south-eastern
boundaries of Sections 3, 4, and 5, Block XII, Whirinaki
Survey District, the north-eastern boundary of Section 9,
Block XV, Whirinaki Survey District, its production across
Murumuru Road to and along the north-eastern boundary
of Section 6, Block XV aforesaid, and along the north-
western boundary of the said Section 6 to a point in line with
the eastern boundary of Block X, Whirinaki Survey District;
thence due north to and along that boundary to the south-
western boundary of Section 2, Block XI, Whirinaki Survey
District; thence north-westerly along that boundary to, and
westerly along, the northern boundary of Block X,
Whirinaki Survey District, to the north-western boundary of
Waimarino 5A 3; thence generally south-westerly along that
boundary, the north-western boundaries of Section 1, Block
X, Whirinaki Survey District, and Waimarino 5B 1A, the north-
western and south-western boundaries of Waimarino 5B 1B
and the north-western boundary of Waimarino 5B 5 and its
production to the middle of the Wanganui River; thence
generally westerly, northerly, and easterly, along the
boundaries of the County of Waimarino as described in
Gazette, 1953, page 535, to the point of commencement. As
the same is shown on a plan marked NZED 732 deposited in
the office of the New Zealand Electricity Department at
Wellington and thereon outlined in pink.
FIFTH SCHEDULE
WAIRQA ELECTRIC POWER DISTRICT
All that area in the South Auckland, Hawke’s Bay, and
Gisborne Land Districts comprising the Borough of
Wairoa and parts of the Counties of Wairoa, Whakatane, and
Cook, bounded by a line commencing at a point, being the
intersection of the right bank of the Waitaha Stream with
the sea coast in Block VIII, Moeangiangi Survey District,
and proceeding north-westerly generally up the right bank of
the Waitaha Stream to and along the north-eastern boundaries
of Lot 2, Lot 6, and again Lot 2 (both of D.P. 4020, Hawke’s
Bay Registry), the north-eastern and north-western boundaries
of Lot 2, D.P. 4021, the north-western boundary of Lot 1,
D.P. 4021, both of Hawke’s Bay Registry, the north-
eastern boundaries of Sections 50 and part 51 (Mohaka
Crown Grant District), the northern and then north-western
boundaries of the last-mentioned section, including the crossing
of State Highway No. 2, and the production of the last-
mentioned boundary to the middle of the Waikari River, up
the middle of that river to a point in line with the north-
eastern boundary of Section 3, Block XI, Waitara Survey
District, to and along that boundary and the north-eastern
boundary of part Section 6, Block V, Waitara Survey District,
and its production to the middle of the Mohaka River, down
the middle of that river to a point in line with the north-
eastern boundary of Section 1, Block IX, Waitara Survey
District, to and along the generally north-eastern and the
north-western boundary of that section and the production
of the last-mentioned boundary to the middle of the Te Hoe
River, up the middle of that river to a point in line with
the south-western boundary of Heruwi 4E, along a right line
to a point in Block XIII, Tuwatawata Survey District, being
176° 42’ 20” east longitude, 38° 48’ 40” south latitude; thence
north-easterly along a right line to the northern-most point
of Lake Waikaremoana; thence again north-easterly along a
right line in the direction of Trig. Station Puketapu, situated
in Block VII, Tuahu Survey District, to its intersection with
the north-western boundary of Waipaoa Block (permanent
State forest No. 91); thence north-easterly along that
boundary to Trig. Station Pukepuke; thence north-easterly
along a right line to Trig. Station Puketuruhuru No. 2,
being a point on the north-western boundary of Waipaoa
Block; thence again north-easterly along that boundary and
its production to its intersection with a right line between
Trig. Stations Maungapohatu and Puketapu; thence south-
easterly along that right line to its intersection with the
western boundary of Tahora No. 2F, Section 2, subdivision 2;
thence northerly along that boundary to the northernmost
corner of Lot 18 of Tahora 2F, Section 2; thence south-
easterly along the north-eastern boundary of the said Lot 18
to the northern boundary of Lot 23, on the plan numbered
1952 deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar, at
Gisborne; thence easterly along that boundary and the
northern boundary of Lot 24, on the said plan numbered
1952 to the eastern boundary of the said Lot 24; thence south-
easterly generally, along that boundary, the north-eastern
boundary of Lot 21, on the plan numbered 1951 deposited
as aforesaid, the northern boundaries of Sections 3 and 1,
Block VIII, Tuahu Survey District, and the south-eastern
boundary of the last-mentioned section and its production to
the middle of the Hangaroa Junction-Waikaremoana Road;
thence north-easterly along the middle of that road to a
point in line with the north-eastern side of Bushy Knoll Road;
thence south-easterly to and along that roadside to the
northern boundary of Section 10, Block IX, Hangaroa Survey
District; thence south-westerly, along a right line across the
said Bushy Knoll Road to the north-western corner of the
last-mentioned Section 10; thence south-easterly generally
along the western boundary of the said Section 10, the south-
western boundary of Section 11, Block IX, Hangaroa Survey
District, the north-western and north-eastern boundaries of
Tauwharetoi 4B Block, the north-eastern boundary of
Tauwharetoi 3B 1 Block, and the north-eastern boundary
of Section 2, Block XIV, Hangaroa Survey District, and its
production to the middle of the Hangaroa River; thence
down the middle of that river to a point in line with the
eastern boundary of Mangapoike 2A No. 2 Block; thence
southerly to and along that boundary to the north-western
boundary of Lot 4, on the plan numbered 1938 deposited as
aforesaid; thence north-easterly generally along that boundary
and the northern boundary of Lot 5, on the plan numbered
1939 deposited as aforesaid, to the easternmost point of the
said Lot 5; thence south-westerly along the south-eastern
boundary of the said Lot 5 to its intersection with a right line
running from peg B at the confluence of the Hangaroa and
Ruakituri Rivers, on a plan numbered 392 lodged in the
office of the Chief Surveyor at Gisborne, through peg XII,
on the plan numbered 524 lodged as aforesaid; thence south-
easterly along that right line to the sea coast at Paritu, in
Block XIII, Paritu Survey District; thence southerly and
easterly generally along the sea coast to its intersection with
the right bank of the Waitaha Stream, being the point of
commencement and including Portland Island; as the said
area is shown on the plan marked N.Z.E.D. No. 718 deposited
in the office of the New Zealand Electricity Department at
Wellington, and thereon outlined in red.

Revoking Part of a Proclamation Declaring an Area in the
Otago Acclimatisation District to be a Wildlife Refuge
BERNARD FERGUSSON, Governor-General
A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to section 14 of the Wildlife Act 1953, I, Brigadier
Sir Bernard Edward Fergusson, the Governor-General of
New Zealand, hereby revoke that part of the Proclamation
issued on the 11th day of May 1957*, declaring the area of
land in the Otago Acclimatisation District described in the
Schedule hereto, to be a wildlife refuge for the purposes of
the Wildlife Act 1953.
SCHEDULE
All that area being Section 3, part Sections 1, 2, and 4,
Block I, East Taieri Survey District, part of said part Section
1, being more particularly shown on part Lot 1, Deeds
Plan 356: Area, 168 acres 1 rood 9.35 perches. All certificate
of title, Volume 387, folio 67.
As the same is shown on plan marked I.A. 52/351 deposited
in the Head Office, Department of Internal Affairs, Wellington,
and thereon edged red.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this
20th day of September 1967.

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Brigadier Sir
Bernard Edward Fergusson, the Governor-General of New
Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described
in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for road; and I also
declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after
the 2nd day of October 1967.
