Election of Growers’ Representatives to the Tobacco Board
PURSUANT to the provisions of the Tobacco Growing Industry Act 1935, the Tobacco Growing Industry Amendment Act 1951, and the Tobacco Board Election Regulations 1952*, regulation 14, I hereby give public notice that there being only two nominations, I declare Richard Wheatley Staples Stevens and John Rowland Talbot to be elected to the office of growers’ representatives on the Tobacco Board and to be members of the Board from the 27th day of September 1967.

Any person wishing to lodge an objection to the granting of these applications should do so in writing on or before 5 October 1967. Submissions should include a reference to the application number, Tariff item, and description of goods concerned, be addressed to the Comptroller of Customs, Private Bag, Wellington, and supported by information as to:
(a) The range of equivalent goods manufactured locally;
(b) The proportion of New Zealand and imported materials used in manufacture;
(c) Present and potential output; and
(d) Details of factory cost in terms of materials, labour, overhead, etc.
