Exemption Order Under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1964


PURSUANT to the Motor Drivers Regulations 1964*, the Minister of Transport hereby orders and declares that the provisions of clause (1) of regulation 16 of the said regulations so far as they relate to the driving of heavy trade motors shall not apply to the person hereinafter mentioned, but in lieu thereof the following provisions shall apply:

A motor driver’s licence issued under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1964* to the person described in column 1 of the Schedule hereunder may authorise him to drive a heavy trade motor in the course of his employment for the employer described in column 2 of the said Schedule, but shall not authorise him, while he is under the age of 18 years, to drive a heavy trade motor for any other purpose.

Exemption Order Under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1964

The Traffic (Taranaki County) Notice 1967


PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.


NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Taranaki County) Notice 1967.

  2. The roads specified in the Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be a closely populated locality for the purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.

  3. The Warrant under section 36 of the Transport Act 1949 and regulation 27 of the Traffic Regulations 1956*, dated the 15th day of May 1958†, which relates to Okato in Taranaki County is hereby revoked.


SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Taranaki County at Okato:

No. 45 State Highway (New Plymouth-Hawera via Opunake) (from a point 15 chains measured north-westerly generally along the said highway from Gossling Street to a point 10 chains measured north-easterly generally along the said highway from Old South Road).

Carthew Street (from Curtis Street to Old South Road).

Cumming Street (from a point 8 chains measured south-easterly generally along the said street from Curtis Street to the north-western end of Cumming Street).

Curtis Street (from Cumming Street to Carthew Street).

Gossling Street (from Cumming Street to Carthew Street).

Old South Road (from Cumming Street to Carthew Street).

Revoking Appointment of, and Appointing Licensing Authorities for, Issue of Heavy Traffic Licences


PURSUANT to subclause (2) of regulation 10 of the Heavy Motor Vehicle Regulations 1955*, the Minister of Transport hereby revokes, as from the 31st day of August 1967, the Warrant dated 19 May 1967†, appointing the local authorities described in column 1 of the First Schedule hereto as the licensing authorities for the purpose of collecting heavy traffic fees due under the said regulations for the district of the respective local authority, and for such area or other areas as are described in column 2 of the First Schedule hereto, and hereby appoints, as from the said 31st day of August 1967, the local authorities described in column 1 of the Second Schedule hereto to be the licensing authorities for the purpose of collecting heavy traffic fees due under the said regulations for the district of the respective local authority, and for such area or other areas as are described in column 2 of the Second Schedule opposite the respective name of the said local authority:

Provided that the Commissioner of Transport shall be the licensing authority in the case of all heavy motor vehicles owned by the Crown as provided by subclause (2) of the said regulation.
