The Traffic (Christchurch City) Notice 1967

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

1. This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Christchurch City) Notice 1967.
2. The roads specified in the First Schedule hereto are hereby excluded from the limitation as to speed imposed by section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.
3. The roads specified in the Second Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be a 40-mile speed limit area for the purposes of the Traffic Regulations 1956*.

SITUATED within Christchurch City:
Humphreys Drive (from a point 20 chains measured north-westerly generally along the said drive from the Ferrymead Bridge to Linwood Avenue).
Linwood Avenue (from Humphreys Drive to a point 10 chains measured south-easterly generally along the said Avenue from Hargood Street).

SECOND SCHEDULE
SITUATED within Christchurch City:

Closely Populated Locality Revoked and 40 Miles an Hour Speed-Limit Area Declared

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives notice as follows:

1. So much of the Warrant under section 52 of the Transport Act 1962, dated the 23rd day of February 1967* as relates to the No. 1 State Highway (Awanui-Bluff) at Tokoroa Township in Matamata County, is hereby revoked.
2. The road specified in the Schedule hereto is hereby declared to be a 40 Miles an Hour Speed-Limit Area for the purposes of the Traffic Regulations 1956†.

Roads Excluded from Speed Limitation and 40 Miles an Hour Speed-Limit Area Declared

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives notice as follows:

1. The Warrant under section 52 of the Transport Act 1962 and regulation 27 of the Traffic Regulations 1956* dated the 10th day of January 1967†, which relates to Hamilton City is hereby revoked.
2. The roads specified in the First Schedule hereto are hereby excluded from the limitation as to speed imposed by section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.
3. The roads specified in the Second Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be limited speed zones for the purposes of the Traffic Regulations 1956*.
4. The roads specified in the Third Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be 40 miles an hour speed-limit areas for the purposes of the Traffic Regulations 1956*.
