HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
Pursuant to section 5 of the Historic Places Act 1954, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, and on the recommendation of the Minister of Internal Affairs, hereby appoints the under-mentioned persons to be the Chairman and members of the New Zealand Historic Places Trust.
Appointed Chairman of the New Zealand Historic Places Trust:
George Hamish Ormond Wilson, M.A., for a term of one year, on and from the 1st day of April 1967.
Nominated by the New Zealand Vice Chancellors' Committee:
John Cawte Beaglehole, C.M.G., M.A., PH.D., for a term of three years, on and from the 1st day of April 1967.
To represent the Maori Race:
John Te Herekiekie Grace, J.P., M.V.O., for a term of three years, on and from the 1st day of April 1967.

The Chatham Islands Harbour Control Order 1967

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
Pursuant to section 8A of the Harbours Act 1950, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.
ORDER
-
(1) This order may be cited as the Chatham Islands Harbour Control Order 1967.
(2) This order shall come into force on the date of its publication in the Gazette. -
In this order—
"The Act" means the Harbours Act 1950:
"The Council" means the Chatham Islands County Council:
"Minister" means the Minister of Marine; and includes any officer, person, or authority, acting by or under the direction or authority of the Minister.
- There is hereby granted to the Council for a period of 21 years from the commencement of this order, subject to the provisions of section 8A of the Act and to the conditions specified in the Second Schedule to this order, the control of the waters specified in the First Schedule to this order.
SCHEDULES
FIRST SCHEDULE
All the waters contained within the Harbours at Chatham Island and Pitt Island, defined in the Order in Council made on 16 November 1966*.
SECOND SCHEDULE
- Subject to the provisions of section 8A of the Act, the Council for and within the waters described in the First Schedule hereto—
(a) May by bylaw do anything which a Harbour Board may do by bylaw under section 232 of the Act:
(b) May appoint harbourmasters and/or other officers, and define or limit their powers and duties:
(c) Shall have all the powers, functions, duties, and authorities of a Harbour Board under the Act as if it were constituted a Harbour Board.
- The said rights, powers, and privileges may be at any time resumed by the Governor-General, without payment of any compensation whatever, on giving to the Council six calendar months’ notice in writing. Any such notice shall be sufficient if given by the Minister and delivered at, or posted to the last known address of the Council in New Zealand.

Redefining the Harbour Limits of Kawau Island

At the Government House at Wellington this 28th day of June 1967

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
Pursuant to section 3 of the Harbours Act 1950, I, Brigadier Sir Bernard Edward Fergusson, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby redefine the harbour limits of Kawau Island previously defined in the Gazette, of 23 November 1868, at page 549, to be those defined in the Schedule below and name the harbour, Kawau Island Harbour.
SCHEDULE
ALL that area of water off the west and south coasts of Kawau Island comprised within the arc of a circle running from Kawati Point to the eastern side of Bostaquet Bay, such arc being that of a circle of 3,750 yd radius centred on Carcaud Point.

Revoking a Licence Authorising the Jerusalem Tribal Committee to Erect and Use Certain Electric Lines in the County of Wanganui

Pursuant to the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, and with the consent of the licensee, hereby revokes the Order in Council, dated the 16th day of September 1964, and published in the Gazette, on the 24th day of September 1964, at page 1590, authorising the Jerusalem Tribal Committee to erect and use certain electric lines in the County of Wanganui.

Pursuant to the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, and with the consent of the Licensee, hereby revokes the Order in Council dated the 8th day of April 1958, and published in the New Zealand Gazette on the 17th day of the same month, at page 493, authorising the Nelson City Council to use water from the Long Gully Creek for the purpose of generating electricity and to erect certain electric lines.
