TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953
Proposed Change in the City of Lower Hutt District Scheme
PUBLIC notice is hereby given that, pursuant to a resolution of the Council, made on the 28th day of November 1966, the Council has resolved to recommend that the operative district scheme be altered in respect of the matter listed in the Schedule hereto. The change of the district scheme, as now recommended by the Council, has been deposited in the Council offices, Laings Road, Lower Hutt, the War Memorial Library, Lower Hutt, and the branch libraries at Moera, Taita, and Stokes Valley, and is there open for inspection by all persons interested therein, without fee, at any time when the offices are open to the public. Objection to the proposed change of the district scheme may be made by way of written notice in form E, prescribed in the First Schedule to the Town and Country Planning Regulations 1960, or to the like effect, marked “Objection to scheme change”, and lodged at the office of the Council at any time not later than the 26th day of March 1967. An appropriate form for use of objectors is available from the Council offices. At a later date every objection will be open for public inspection. LOWER HUTT CITY COUNCIL
TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953
City of Lower Hutt District Scheme—Changes Nos. 3, 4, 5, and 6 Approved
PURSUANT to the Town and Country Planning Regulations 1960, public notice is hereby given that changes Nos. 3, 4, 5, and 6, in respect of the matters listed in the Schedule hereto, were approved by the Council, by resolution passed at its meeting on the 30th day of January 1967, as alterations of the operative district scheme under the Town and Country Planning Act 1953, after all objections, appeals, and arbitrations relating to this alteration of the scheme had been disposed of.
The Council has also resolved that this alteration of the scheme shall come into operation on the 9th day of February 1967.
Copies of the alterations as approved have been deposited in the Council’s office and will be deposited in every public library in the district, and may be inspected, without fee, by any person who so requires at any time when these places are open to the public on or after the 9th day of February 1967.
SCHEDULE
(i) Change No. 3—Map amendment No. 3, Dowse Drive—from residential “A” to commercial “A”—change in zoning of the land shown on Plan T.P. 14/9/7, and therein hatched.
(ii) Change No. 4—Map amendment No. 7, stopped portion of Kings Crescent—zoning as commercial “B” of the land shown on Plan T.P. 14/9/12, and therein hatched.
(iii) Change No. 5—Code amendment No. 3, prohibition of certain uses in a commercial or industrial zone—adding subparagraph (f) to clause 1 (4) of ordinance II, and adding a footnote to clauses 5, 6, 7a, 7b, 8, and 9 of that ordinance.
(iv) Change No. 6—Code amendment No. 4, alterations of details of the normal bulk and location requirements in residential zones relative to terrace houses.

NOTICE OF RESULT OF POLL
NOTICE is hereby given, under section 42 of the Rating Act 1925, that at a poll, held on Wednesday, the 11th day of January 1967, on a proposal to change the rating system of the Hunterville Town District from the annual rental value system to the unimproved value system, the number of votes recorded for the proposal was 87, and the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 30; and I hereby declare the proposal to have been carried.

NOTICE OF RESULT OF POLL ON LOAN PROPOSAL
PURSUANT to section 13 (2) of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, notice is hereby given that a poll of the ratepayers of the County of Featherston, taken on the 28th day of January 1967, on the proposal of the above-named local authority to raise a loan of £45,000 to be known as the Roads and Bridges Loan 1966—£45,000, for the purpose of constructing and reconstructing roads, bridges, and culverts in the County, resulted as follows:
The number of votes recorded for the proposal was ..... 555
The number of votes recorded against the proposal was 145
The number of informal votes was ..... ..... ..... 9
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

HIKURANGI SWAMP RATING DISTRICT
NOTICE is hereby given that the land in the part of the Northland Catchment Area draining to the Wairua River and its tributaries upstream of the Mangere Rapids, described in the Schedule hereto, has been designated and assigned the distinguishing name of the “Hikurangi Swamp River Rating District” and the “Hikurangi Swamp Drainage Rating District” as the case may be.
SCHEDULE
ALL that area situated in the Counties of the Bay of Islands and Whangarei, and the whole of the Town District of Hikurangi, comprising 141,000 acres, more or less, bounded as follows:
Commencing at a point in the middle of the Wairua River east of the southernmost corner of Section 21, Block II, Purua Survey District, along a right line to the corner, aforesaid, along the southern and western boundaries of the said Section 21 to the Puketitoi Road, along a right line, being the projection in a northerly direction of the western boundary of the said Section 21, to the eastern boundary of Section 36 of Block II, aforesaid; thence in a generally northerly direction, along the eastern boundaries of Sections 36, 35, and 7, to, and along, the northern boundary of Section 70, all these sections being of the said Block II, to the northernmost point of the said Section 70, along a right line to the south-western corner of Section 63, Block I, Purua Survey District, along the western boundary of Section 63, aforesaid, to the westernmost point of the said Section 63; thence by a right line across the public road forming the north-western boundary of the said Section 63, to the southernmost point of Section 54 of the said Block I, along the western boundary of Section 54, aforesaid, and the western boundary of Section 53, in the said Block I, as far as a point opposite the southernmost corner of Section part 47, Block I, aforesaid, along a right line to that corner, and along the south-eastern boundary of the said Section part 47, to the easternmost corner of the said Section part 47; thence along a right line, across the public road forming the north-eastern boundary of the said Section part 47, to the south-western corner of Section 12s, Aponga Settlement, of the said Block I, along the southern and eastern boundaries of the Section 12s, aforesaid, to the public road forming the northern boundary of the said Section 12s, along a right line, being the projection in a westerly direction of the northern boundary of the said Section 12s across that public road to the south-eastern boundary of Section part 4s, Aponga Settlement, aforesaid, along the eastern boundary of the said Section part 4s, to the southernmost corner of Section 3s of the said Aponga Settlement; thence along a right line to the south-eastern corner of Section 2s of the Aponga Settlement, Block XIII, Hukerenui Survey District, along the eastern boundary of the said Section 2s, to, and easterly along, the southern boundary of Section 16, Block XIII, aforesaid, along the eastern and north-eastern boundaries of Section 16, afore-
