Licensing William John Heatherington to Occupy a Site for a Jetty in Riverton Harbour

PURSUANT to the Harbours Act 1950, the Minister of Marine hereby licenses and permits William John Heatherington (hereinafter called the licensee, which term shall include his administrators, executors, or assigns unless the context requires a different construction), to use and occupy a part of the foreshore and bed of the sea at Riverton, as shown on plan marked M.D. 12576 and deposited in the office of the Marine Department at Wellington, for the purpose of maintaining thereon a jetty as shown on the said plan, such licence to be held and enjoyed by the licensee upon and subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

CONDITIONS

(1) This licence is subject to the Foreshore Licence Regulations 1960 and the provisions of those regulations shall, so far as applicable, apply hereto.

(2) The term of the licence shall be 14 years from the 1st day of June 1967.

(3) The premium payable by the licensee shall be five pounds (£5) ($10) and the annual sum so payable by the licensee shall be six pounds ten shillings (£6 10s.) ($13).

Limited Speed Zone Declared

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives notice as follows:

1. The Warrant under section 36 of the Transport Act 1949, dated the 15th day of September 1958*, which relates to Ngunguru in Whangarei County is hereby revoked.

2. The roads specified in the First Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be closely populated localities for the purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.

3. The road specified in the Second Schedule hereto is hereby declared to be a limited speed zone for the purposes of the Traffic Regulations 1956†.

FIRST SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Whangarei County at Ngunguru:

Kiripaka-Ngunguru Road (from Waiotoi Road to the lagoon bridge situated approximately 64 chains south-west of Waiotoi Road).

Matapouri-Ngunguru Road (from Waiotoi Road to a point 2 chains measured north-easterly generally along the Matapouri-Ngunguru Road from Waiotoi Road).

SECOND SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Whangarei County at Ngunguru:

Kiripaka-Ngunguru Road (from the lagoon bridge situated approximately 64 chains south-west of Waiotoi Road to a point 28 chains measured south-westerly generally along the Kiripaka-Ngunguru Road from the said bridge).

Exemption Order Under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1964

PURSUANT to the Motor Drivers Regulations 1964*, the Minister of Transport hereby orders and declares that the provisions of clause (1) of regulation 16 of the said regulations so far as they relate to the driving of heavy trade motors shall not apply to the person hereinafter mentioned, but in lieu thereof the following provisions shall apply:

A motor driver’s licence issued under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1964* to the person described in column 1 of the Schedule hereunder may authorise him to drive a heavy trade motor in the course of his employment for the employer described in column 2 of the said Schedule, but shall not authorise him while he is under the age of 18 years, to drive a heavy trade motor for any other purpose.
