Notice of Application for Consent to Specified Departure

NOTICE is hereby given that application has been made by Elvina May Scurr, of Wanaka, married woman, for consent to specified departure from the provisions of the operative district scheme of the Lake County Council for the Wanaka District, to change the zoning of the under-mentioned property from residential to commercial.

The property is on the south-east side of Brownston Street, Wanaka.

The legal description of the land is all that piece of land situated in the Town of Wanaka, containing one rood, being Lot 1, Deposited Plan 9409 (Town of Wanaka Extension No. 33), being Section 2, Block XX of the said town, and being all the land in certificate of title, register A 1, folio 799 (Otago Registry).

The application may be examined at the office of the Lake County Council, Ballarat Street, Queenstown, during normal office hours and any person or body affected may object to the application by notice in writing, delivered to the County Clerk, Lake County Council, P.O. Box 25, Queenstown, not later than 4 p.m., on the 29th day of June 1967.

Every objector shall state the grounds of the objection and whether the objector wishes to be heard by the Council in support of his objection.

Pasteuriser Loan 1967, £3,500

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Murupara Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of three thousand five hundred pounds (£3,500), authorised to be raised by the Murupara Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act, and for the purpose of meeting the cost of purchasing a pasteuriser for the Murupara Milk Treatment Station, the said Murupara Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of 0.049d. (pence) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value of all rateable property within the Borough of Murupara, and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 20 years, and until the loan is fully paid off.”

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of three thousand five hundred pounds (£3,500), authorised to be raised by the Murupara Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act, and for the purpose of meeting the cost of purchasing land and erecting a staff dwelling thereon, the said Murupara Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of 0.049d. (pence) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value of all rateable property within the Borough of Murupara, and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 25 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

The Executors of the estate have made a statutory declaration that the original certificates of title to the said stock have been lost.

Notice is hereby given that unless within thirty days from the date hereof there is made to the company some claim or representation in respect of the said original certificates, new certificates will be issued in place thereof.
