SPECIAL PRICES WHERE EXTRAORDINARY CHARGES INCURRED

  1. Subject to such conditions, if any, as it thinks fit, the
    Tribunal, on application by any retailer, may authorise
    special prices in respect of any Cyprus oranges to which this
    order applies where special circumstances exist, or for any
    reason extraordinary charges (freight or otherwise) are
    incurred by the retailer. Any authority given by the Tribunal
    under this clause may apply with respect to a specified lot or
    consignment of oranges or may relate generally to all
    Cyprus oranges to which this order applies sold by the retailer
    while the approval remains in force.

DUTY IMPOSED ON RETAILERS

  1. Every retailer who offers or exposes any Cyprus
    oranges for sale in any shop shall keep in a prominent position
    in such proximity to the oranges to which it relates as to be
    obviously descriptive thereof, a ticket, placard, or label on
    which shall be stated in legible and prominent characters the
    following particulars:

(a) The retail price per pound of the oranges;
(b) The word "Cyprus".

Submissions should include a reference to the application number, Tariff item, and description of goods concerned, be addressed to the Comptroller of Customs, Private Bag, Wellington, and supported by information as to:

(a) The range of equivalent goods manufactured locally;
(b) The proportion of New Zealand and imported materials used in manufacture;
(c) Present and potential output; and
(d) Details of factory cost in terms of materials, labour, overhead, etc.
