Commissioner of Supreme Court Appointed

PURSUANT to section 47 of the Judicature Act 1908, the Right Honourable Sir Richard Wild, K.C.M.G., Chief Justice of New Zealand has this day appointed

Habib Abraham Mellick, Esquire, Cairns, North Queensland, Australia,

a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Queensland, to be a Commissioner of the Supreme Court of New Zealand in Queensland for the purpose of administering and taking of oaths, affidavits, and affirmations as in the said section mentioned.

Constituting Certain Urban Fire Districts

PURSUANT to section 18 of the Fire Services Act 1949, the Minister of Internal Affairs hereby declares the secondary urban fire district of Shannon in the County of Horowhenua, and the secondary urban fire district of Waiau in the Amuri County to be constituted urban fire districts to be known as the Shannon Urban Fire District and the Waiau Urban Fire District respectively.
