The Standards Act 1965—British Standards, Revisions, and Amendments Available for Comment

PURSUANT to subsection (3) of section 23 of the Standards Act 1965, notice is hereby given that the British standards, revisions, and amendments listed in the Schedule hereto are being considered for adoption as New Zealand standard specifications. All persons who may be affected by them, and who desire to comment thereon may, on application, obtain copies on loan from the Standards Association of New Zealand, Hooson’s Building, 53–55 Courtenay Place, or Private Bag, Wellington C. 1.
Requests should specify that copies are required for comment purposes.
The closing date for the receipt of comment is 31 March 1967.

Notice Prohibiting the Standing of Vehicles on Roads
—
It is hereby notified that, pursuant to the National Roads Board Bylaw 1958, No. 1*, the Board has, by resolution carried at its meeting on 15 February 1967, temporarily prohibited the standing of vehicles on State Highway No. 73, pending the full channelisation of the Church Street corner intersection, Paparua County, as shown on plan M.O.W. 13080, copy held in the office, District Commissioner of Works, Christchurch.

The Land and Income Tax Act 1954: Interest on Income Tax Paid in Advance
—
PURSUANT to section 207 of the Land and Income Tax Act 1954, as amended by section 89 (c) of the Income Tax Assessment Act 1957, the Minister of Finance has prescribed that interest at 4 percent per annum will be credited on advance payments of income tax made by a taxpayer, being a subsisting company* or a public authority (other than either of them in the capacity of a trustee or agent), or a Maori authority, on account of income tax becoming payable during the financial year ending 31 March 1968, provided the total interest so calculated amounts to 5s. or more.
Advance payments carry interest for each complete month commencing from 7 March 1967, or the date of payment (whichever is the later), to 6 February 1968 inclusive.

*“Subsisting company” means a company which was incorporated before the 26th day of July 1957, but does not include a company which, by virtue of an election under section 42 of the Income Tax Assessment Act 1957, has become a provisional taxpayer.
