RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
—
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Porirua City Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purposes of providing for the annual charges on a loan of £18,000, authorised to be raised by the Porirua City Council under the above-mentioned Act for Streets Improvement Loan 1966, the said Porirua City Council hereby makes a special rate of 0.055 pence in the pound (£) upon the unimproved value of all rateable property in the City of Porirua; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable yearly, on the 14th day of August in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 35 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
I certify that the foregoing resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Porirua City Council held on 22 February 1967.

GOLDEN BAY ELECTRIC POWER BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Office Building Loan 1966—£10,000
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Golden Bay Electric Power Board hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £10,000, authorised to be raised by the Golden Bay Electric Power Board under the above-mentioned Act for the purposes of meeting the cost of additions and alterations to the Board’s offices at Takaka, the said Golden Bay Electric Power Board hereby makes a special rate of one-sixteenth of a penny (¹⁄₁₆d.) in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Golden Bay Electric Power Board district; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable yearly, on the 1st day of September in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 15 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that, by resolution of the Ellerslie Borough Council, made on the 15th day of February 1967, pursuant to its powers under regulation 18 (7) of the Town and Country Planning Regulations 1960, the closing date for lodging objections thereto, previously publicly notified as the 28th day of February 1967, has been extended to the 31st day of March 1967.

TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953

Featherston Borough District Scheme, No. 5 Amendment Approved
PURSUANT to the Town and Country Planning Regulations 1960, public notice is hereby given that the No. 5 amendment to the district scheme under the Town and Country Planning Act 1953, dealing with the rezoning from rural to a zoning for power-board purposes of a portion of land containing approximately 2 roods, more or less, situated in Featherston Township, being part of Lots 277 and 279, D.P. 9139, on the corner of Murphy’s Line and Revans Street, and yet to be surveyed, but to be approximately 2½ chains frontage on Murphy’s Line, and approximately 2 chains frontage on Revans Street, was approved by the Council, by resolution, on the 16th day of February 1967. There were no objections. The Council has also resolved that the amendment would come into operation on the 16th day of February 1967. Copies of the amendment have been deposited in the Council office, and may be inspected, without fee, by any person who so requires, at any time when the office is open to the public.

In the matter of the District Grand Lodge of English Freemasons of Auckland Trustees Act 1935:
I, Ivan Eaglestone Whale, Deputy District Grand Master in Charge for the District of Auckland under the United Grand Lodge of Antient Free and Accepted Masons of England, hereby give notice, pursuant to section 12 of the above Act, that I have appointed Richard Francis Newton, of Auckland, secretary, the District Grand Secretary of the said District Grand Lodge, and as such he is the authorised representative in terms of the said Act.

CHRISTCHURCH TRANSPORT BOARD

SPECIAL ORDER
—
Christchurch Transport Board No. 53 Development and Improvement Loan 1966—£115,000
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on it by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and all other powers it enabling, the Christchurch Transport Board hereby resolves, by way of special order:
-
That the said Board authorises the raising of a loan of £115,000 for the purpose of constructing a new omnibus parking depot, with all necessary plant and buildings for its administration and operation.

That the term for which the said loan, or any part thereof, may be borrowed shall be 20 years.
-
That the rate of interest payable in respect of the said loan, or any part thereof, shall be such as shall not produce to the lender or lenders a rate exceeding five and one-half percent per annum.
-
That the said loan, or any part thereof, together with interest thereon, shall be repaid by equal aggregate annual or half-yearly instalments extending over the term of 20 years.
-
That the payment of all such instalments shall be made in New Zealand, and no such instalment shall be paid out of loan money.
-
That the security for the repayment of the said loan and the interest thereon shall be a special rate.
-
That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £115,000, authorised to be raised by the Christchurch Transport Board under the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 for the purpose of constructing a new omnibus parking depot, with all necessary plant and buildings for its administration and operation, the said Christchurch Transport Board hereby makes a special rate of 0.0095262 of a penny in the pound upon the capital value of all rateable property in the Christchurch Transport District, as defined by the Christchurch Tramway District Act 1920, as amended by the Christchurch Tramway District Amendment Act 1932–33 and the Christchurch Tramway District Amendment Act 1960; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, being a period of 20 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

That the said Board hereby directs that the said special rate be levied and collected by the Christchurch City Council, the Riccarton Borough Council, and the Waimari, Heathcote, Paparua, and Halswell County Councils respectively, within their respective districts; and that the said rate be payable, in one sum, on the days respectively appointed by the said local authorities for the payment of rates for their respective districts.

That the Christchurch Transport Board hereby resolves to appropriate and pledge the said special rate of 0.0095262 of a penny in the pound to secure the repayment of the said loan and interest thereon until the loan is fully repaid.
The foregoing special order was passed at a meeting of the Christchurch Transport Board, held on 19 December 1966, and was confirmed on 30 January 1967.
