Exemption Order Under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1964

———

PURSUANT to the Motor Drivers Regulations 1964*, the
Minister of Transport hereby orders and declares that the
provisions of clause (1) of regulation 16 of the said regula-
tions so far as they relate to the driving of heavy trade motors
shall not apply to the person hereinafter mentioned, but in
lieu thereof the following provisions shall apply:

A motor driver’s licence issued under the Motor Drivers
Regulations 1964* to the person described in column 1 of
the Schedule hereunder may authorise him to drive a heavy
trade motor in the course of his employment for the
employer described in column 2 of the said Schedule, but
shall not authorise him, while he is under the age of 18 years,
to drive a heavy trade motor for any other purpose.

Limited Speed Zone Declared

———

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Trans-
port hereby gives notice that the area specified in the Schedule
hereto is hereby declared to be a limited speed zone for the
purposes of the Traffic Regulations 1956*.

SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Otamatea County, at Mangawhai Heads:

All that area bounded by a line commencing at a point
on the coast of the Pacific Ocean opposite the eastern end
of the northern side of Wintle Road; thence to the eastern
end of the said road; thence westerly and south-westerly
generally along the northern and north-western sides of
Wintle Road to its junction with Claud Road; thence north-
westerly, westerly, and south-easterly generally along the
side of Claud Road to its junction with Wintle Road; thence
westerly and southerly generally along the northern and
western sides of Wintle Road to a point opposite the western
side of Molesworth Road; thence at right angles across
Wintle Road to the western side of Molesworth Road; thence
southerly along the said roadside to a point 16 chains measured
southerly generally along the said roadside from Suffolk
Street; thence by a right line easterly generally across Moles-
worth Road to the southern end of Lincoln Road; thence
along the projection of the aforesaid right line to the shore
of the Mangawhai Estuary; thence northerly generally along
the shores of the Mangawhai Estuary and the Mangawhai
Harbour; thence along the coast of the Pacific Ocean to the
commencing point.

Closely Populated Locality Extended

———

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Trans-
port hereby gives notice as follows:

  1. The following Warrants, which relate to roads at Pio Pio
    in Waitomo County, are hereby revoked:

(a) The Warrant under section 3 of the Motor Vehicles
Amendment Act 1936, dated the 13th day of October
1938†,

(b) The Warrant under section 36 of the Transport Act
1949, dated the 23rd day of June 1959‡, and

(c) The Warrant under section 36 of the Transport Act
1949 and regulation 27 of the Traffic Regulations
1956* dated the 4th day of August 1959§.

  1. The roads specified in the First Schedule hereto are
    hereby declared to be a closely populated locality for the
    purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.

  2. The road specified in the Second Schedule hereto is
    hereby declared to be a limited speed zone for the purposes
    of the Traffic Regulations 1956*.

No. 3 State Highway (Hamilton-Woodville via New
