HUTT VALLEY ELECTRIC POWER AND GAS BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
—
Loan No. 40, 1966—Reticulation—£200,000
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Hutt Valley Electric Power and Gas Board hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges of a loan of two hundred thousand pounds (£200,000), authorised to be raised by the Hutt Valley Electric Power and Gas Board under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of further reticulating the Board’s electric power and gas district, and for such purpose to do all or any of such matters and things which the Board is empowered to do by the Electric Power Boards Act 1925 and its amendments and by all other powers and authorities it thereunto enabling, the Hutt Valley Electric Power and Gas Board hereby makes a special rate of one hundred and two thousandths of a penny (0.102d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Hutt Valley electric power and gas district, comprising the Cities of Lower Hutt, Porirua, and Upper Hutt; part of the City of Wellington; the Boroughs of Eastbourne, Petone, and Tawa; and part of the Hutt County: and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable yearly, on the 31st day of March in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of ten (10) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Picton Borough Council Fire Appliance Loan 1966
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Picton Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £2,500, authorised to be raised by the Picton Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of purchasing a new fire appliance, the said Picton Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of ³⁄₁₆d. in the pound on the unimproved rateable value of all rateable property appearing on the valuation roll of the Borough of Picton and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable yearly, on the 1st day of April in each year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 10 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Fire Station Loan 1966—£10,000
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Motueka Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £10,000, authorised to be raised by the Motueka Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of erecting a new fire station, the said Motueka Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of eleven two hundred and fifty sixths of a penny (¹¹⁄₂₅₆d.) in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Borough of Motueka; and that the special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable yearly, on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of thirty-five (35) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

CITY OF ROTORUA

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE AS SECURITY FOR LOAN
—
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Rotorua City Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of sixteen thousand pounds (£16,000) to be known as the Rotorua City Council Bridge Construction and Stormwater Drainage Redemption Loan 1966 of Sixteen Thousand Pounds (£16,000), authorised to be raised by the Rotorua City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of repaying on maturity those portions of the Bridge Construction and Stormwater Drainage Loan 1955, £42,000, which mature on 30 November 1966 and 12 December 1966, the Rotorua City Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought four nine pence (.049d.) in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property within the City of Rotorua; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly, on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 15 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
I hereby certify that the foregoing is a true and correct copy of resolution of the Rotorua City Council passed on Monday, 19 December 1966.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE RENEWAL
—
Loan (Streets and Sewerage) 1966, £39,600
THAT, pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the New Plymouth City Council hereby resolves:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on the Renewal Loan (Streets and Sewerage) 1966 of Thirty-nine thousand six hundred pounds (£39,600) authorised to be raised by the New Plymouth City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of repaying the balance of the Street Improvement Loan 1953 and the Sewerage Extension Loan 1953 amounting to thirty-nine thousand six hundred pounds (£39,600) which will remain unpaid at the date of maturity, i.e. 15 February 1967, the New Plymouth City Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal one pence (.1d) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the whole of the City of New Plymouth; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable by equal aggregate annual or half-yearly instalments on the 15th day of August and 15th day of February in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 10 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

RESOLUTION LEVYING SECURITY RATE

Percy’s Creek Flood Detention Dam Loan 1966—£50,000
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and all other powers it thereunto enabling, the Petone Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on the above loan of £50,000, authorised to be raised under the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Petone Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of eighty-three four-hundredths of a penny (⁸³⁄₄₀₀d.) in the pound on the rateable value of all rateable property in the Borough of Petone, comprising the whole of the Borough of Petone; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable yearly, on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of the said loan, being a period of thirty-five (35) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
