Land and Easement Over Land Taken for Water Supply Purposes in the City of Whangarei

BERNARD FERGUSSON, Governor-General
A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Brigadier Sir Bernard Edward Fergusson, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the First Schedule hereto is hereby taken for water supply purposes and shall vest in the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the City of Whangarei as from the date hereinafter mentioned; and I also proclaim and declare that an easement is hereby taken in perpetuity for water supply purposes over the land described in the Second Schedule hereto (hereinafter called “the said land”) vesting in the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the City of Whangarei (hereinafter called “the grantee”) first, the full and free right, liberty, licence, and authority to convey water along, over, and under the said land and for that purpose lay, construct, place, reconstruct, cleanse, repair, and maintain a line of pipes under, along, and over the said land and secondly, full and free right, liberty, licence, and authority for the grantee, its servants, agents, and workmen from time to time and at all times hereafter to go, pass or repass with or without horses and vehicles of any kind, laden or unladen, over the said land; such easement to be held appurtenant to the land described in the First Schedule hereto.
