PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby consents to the borrowing by the local authorities mentioned in the Schedule hereto by way of loan of the whole or any part of the respective amounts specified in that Schedule.

PURSUANT to section 16 of the New Zealand Army Act 1950, His Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to approve of the following appointments, promotions, transfers, resignations, and retirements of officers of the New Zealand Army:

ROYAL REGIMENT OF N.Z. ARTILLERY
Regular Force
Lieutenant and Quartermaster John Anthony Craddock Forrer is posted to the Retired List. Dated 30 October 1966.

ROYAL N.Z. ARMOURED CORPS
Regular Force
Lieutenant-Colonel W. C. T. Foley, having reached retiring age for rank is transferred to the Supernumerary List and re-engaged for the period 8 July 1966 to 26 September 1966.
Captain Donald McLeod is posted to the Retired List. Dated 23 October 1966.

Territorial Force
1st Armoured Squadron (Queen Alexandra’s), RNZAC
Donald Scott Glendinning to be 2nd Lieutenant. Dated 1 October 1966.

Captain and Quartermaster R. W. Bowman is re-engaged for a period of one year as from 26 December 1966.

ROYAL N.Z. INFANTRY REGIMENT

Captain (temp. Major) Maurice John Blair, from the 2nd Battalion (Canterbury and Nelson-Marlborough and West Coast), RNZIR, is granted a short-service commission for the period of his tour as a United Nations Observer in the rank of Captain (temp. Major) with seniority as Captain from 2 August 1963. Dated 5 October 1966.
Captain J. L. Manning is re-engaged for the period 11 January 1966 to 31 January 1967.
