Waipuka Development Scheme Amending Notice 1966, No. 1
WHEREAS by virtue of the notice described in the First Schedule hereto, the land described in the Second Schedule hereto is now subject to Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953:
And whereas pursuant to section 370 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953 the Board of Maori Affairs acquired the land described in the Third Schedule hereto for the purposes of Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953:
And whereas by virtue of an order of the Maori Land Court dated 8 June 1965 the said lands in the Second and Third Schedules hereto are now known by the description set out in the Fourth Schedule hereto and it is considered necessary to have the notice described in the First Schedule hereto replaced:
Now, therefore, pursuant to section 330 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the Board of Maori Affairs hereby gives notice as follows:
NOTICE
- This notice may be described as the Waipuka Development Scheme Amending Notice 1966, No. 1.
- This notice shall replace the notice referred to in the First Schedule hereto.
- The land described in the Fourth Schedule hereto is hereby declared to be subject to Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953.

PURSUANT to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, notice is hereby given that the land described in the Schedule hereto has been acquired as a public domain, subject to the provisions of Part III of the said Act, as an addition to the Alexandra Domain to be administered as a public domain by the Domain Board.

Notifying Wilderness Area—Tongariro National Park—Hauhungatahi Wilderness Area
NOTICE is hereby given that the Tongariro National Park Board, in terms of section 34 of the National Parks Act 1952, by resolution dated 24 November 1954 set apart as a wilderness area that part of the Tongariro National Park containing 21,000 acres, more or less, and being all that area in the Wellington Land District bounded as follows:
Commencing at a point on the right bank of the Mangaturuturu River, due south of Hauhungatahi Trig. Station, and proceeding northerly, generally along the western boundaries of the Tongariro National Park as described in the First Schedule to the National Parks Act 1952, N.Z. Gazette, 1953, page 1767, and N.Z. Gazette, 1956, page 188, to the intersection of the Park boundary with the left bank of the Waimarino Stream; thence easterly generally along that bank to its northernmost position; thence due east along a right line to the south-western side of the track leading from Mahuia Camp Site; thence south-easterly generally along that side to its intersection with the north-western side of the track leading to Lake Surprise; thence south-easterly across the last mentioned track along a right line towards Paretetaitonga Trig. Station, to a point on the circumference of a circle having a radius of 120 chains from that Trig. Station; thence southerly generally along the circumference of that circle to the right bank of the Mangaturuturu River; thence south-westerly generally along that bank to the point of commencement.
As the same is more particularly delineated on a plan marked L. and S. N.P./26D and deposited in the Head Office of the Department of Lands and Survey at Wellington and thereon edged red.
The Wilderness Area will be subject to the restrictions imposed by section 34 of the National Parks Act 1952 and by the Tongariro National Park By-laws.

Now, therefore, pursuant to section 332 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the Board of Maori Affairs gives notice as follows:
NOTICE
- This notice may be cited as the Rotoiti Rehabilitation Development Scheme Amending Notice 1966, No. 1.
- The notice referred to in the First Schedule hereto is hereby amended by omitting all reference to the land described in the Second Schedule hereto.
- The land described in the Second Schedule hereto is hereby released from Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953.
