The Standards Act 1965—Amendment of Standard Specifications

Pursuant to the provisions of the Standards Act 1965, the
Standards Council, on 6 October 1966, amended the under-
mentioned standard specifications by the incorporation of the
amendments shown hereunder:

Application for copies of the standard specifications so
amended should be made to the Standards Association of
New Zealand, Private Bag, Wellington C. 1.

Copies of the amendments will be supplied, free of charge,
upon request.

The Standards Act 1965—Standard Specification Revoked

Pursuant to the provisions of the Standards Act 1965, the
Standards Council, on 13 September 1966, revoked the under-
mentioned standard specification.

Number and Title of Standard Specification

NZSS 1088 : 1957 Polythene insulated cables sheathed with
P.V.C., for electric power and lighting up to 250 volts;
being BS 1557 : 1954.

National Roads Board—Notice Concerning the Stopping and Parking of Vehicles on Roads

It is hereby notified that, pursuant to the National Roads
Board Bylaw 1958, No. 1*, the Board has, by resolution
carried at its meeting on 22 September 1966, prohibited the
stopping of vehicles on that portion of the State highway
described in the Schedule I hereto, and prohibited the
parking of vehicles on that portion of State highway described
in the Schedule II hereto.

SCHEDULE I

No. 1 State Highway Gore Borough:

  1. On the western side of Railway Esplanade, from a point
    route mileage 539·57, and extending southwards to the eastern
    abutment of the Gore traffic bridge, route milage 539·80.
  2. On the eastern side of Railway Esplanade, from a point
    route mileage 539·08, and extending southwards to the
    eastern abutment of the Gore traffic bridge, route milage
    539·80.

SCHEDULE II

No. 1 State Highway Gore Borough:

On the western side of Railway Esplanade, from a point
route mileage 539·08, and extending southwards to the
commencement of the No Stopping restriction at route
mileage 539·57.

Plants Declared to be Noxious Weeds in the County of Waimate (Notice No. Ag. 9096)

Pursuant to section 3 of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950 and
to a delegation from the Minister of Agriculture under
section 9 of the Department of Agriculture Act 1953 for the
purpose of the said section, the following Special Order, made
by the Waimate County Council on the 29th day of August,
1966, is hereby published.

SPECIAL ORDER

"THAT, in pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it
by section 87 of the Counties Act 1956 and section 3 of the
Noxious Weeds Act 1950, and amendments thereto, and all
other powers it thereunto enabling, the Waimate County
Council doth hereby resolve, by way of Special Order, that
the following noxious weeds be noxious weeds within the
whole of the Waimate County:

Barberry (Berberis darwinii)
Barberry (Berberis vulgaris)
