Officers Authorised to Take and Receive Statutory Declarations

PURSUANT to section 9 of the Oaths and Declarations Act 1957, His Excellency the Governor-General of New Zealand has been pleased to authorise the holders for the time being of the offices in the service of the Crown specified in the Schedule below to take and receive statutory declarations under the said Act.

Exemption Order under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1964

PURSUANT to the Motor Drivers Regulations 1964*, the Minister of Transport hereby orders and declares that the provisions of clause (1) of regulation 16 of the said regulations so far as they relate to the driving of heavy trade motors shall not apply to the person hereinafter mentioned, but in lieu thereof the following provisions shall apply:

A motor driver’s licence issued under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1964* to the person described in column 1 of the Schedule hereunder may authorise him to drive a heavy trade motor in the course of his employment for the employer described in column 2 of the said Schedule, but shall not authorise him, while is under the age of 18 years, to drive a heavy trade motor for any other purpose.

Exemption Order under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1964

Closely Populated Locality Declared

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives notice that the road specified in the Schedule hereto is hereby declared to be a closely populated locality, for the purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.

SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Marlborough County, adjacent to Picton Borough:

Waikawa Road (from the boundary of Picton Borough to a point 8 chains measured north-easterly generally along Waikawa Road from the said boundary).

Closely Populated Localities Declared and Limited Speed Zones Declared

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives notice as follows:

  1. The following Warrants, which relate to areas in Rotorua County, are hereby revoked—

(a) The Warrant under section 36 of the Transport Act 1949, dated the 8th day of July 1955†, which relates to Lynmore;

(b) The Warrant under section 36 of the Transport Act 1949 and regulation 27 of the Traffic Regulations 1956*, dated the 26th day of June 1959‡, which relates to Holdens Bay, Hannahs Bay, and Owhata; and

(c) The Warrant under section 36 of the Transport Act 1949 and regulation 27 of the Traffic Regulations 1956*, dated the 26th day of May 1961§, which relates to the No. 30 State Highway (Te Kuiti-Whakatane via Atiamuri) within Rotorua County.

  1. The roads specified in the First Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be closely populated localities, for the purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.

  2. The roads specified in the Second Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be limited speed zones, for the purposes of the Traffic Regulations 1956*.
