Classification of Roads in Waitomo County

Pursuant to regulation 3 of the Heavy Motor Vehicle Regulations 1955*, the Commissioner of Transport hereby revokes so much of the Warrant dated the 11th day of July 1950† as relates to the classification of roads in Waitomo County, described in the Schedule hereto, and hereby approves the Waitomo County Council's proposed classification of the said roads as set out in the said Schedule.

Approval of Red Reflectors for Motor Vehicles in Terms of the Traffic Regulations 1956

Pursuant to clause (2) of regulation 41 of the Traffic Regulations 1956*, the Commissioner of Transport hereby approves, for the purposes of the said regulations, red reflectors of the make and type described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

TAIL-LAMP assemblies incorporating red reflex reflectors, fitted as standard equipment to Corona vehicles, and marked on reflector “R-24 KOITO L-1383”.

Plants Declared Noxious Weeds in the County of Wairoa
(Notice No. Ag. 9065)

Pursuant to section 3 of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950, and to a delegation from the Minister of Agriculture under section 9 of the Department of Agriculture Act 1953, for the purposes of the said section, the following special order made by the Wairoa County Council on the 12th day of July 1966, is hereby published.

SPECIAL ORDER

RESOLVED that, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Noxious Weeds Act 1950, the Wairoa County Council hereby resolves, by Special Order, that the following plants are declared noxious weeds within the County of Wairoa.

Barberry (Berberis vulgaris)
Hawthorn (Crataegus oxyacantha and Crataegus monogyna)

(Notice No. Ag. 9069)

Pursuant to section 3 of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950, and to a delegation from the Minister of Agriculture under section 9 of the Department of Agriculture Act 1953 for the purposes of the said section, the following special order, made by the Matamata Borough Council on the 11th day of July 1966, is hereby published.

SPECIAL ORDER

IN pursuance of the powers under the Municipal Corporations Act 1952 and the Noxious Weeds Act 1950, the Matamata Borough Council doth hereby resolve as follows:
That, for the purposes of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950, the Matamata Borough Council hereby declares that the under-mentioned plants shall be deemed to be noxious weeds within the Matamata Borough—
Bindweed (Convolvulus arvensis)
Cape tulip (Homeria collina)
Hemlock (Conium maculatum)
Water hyacinth (Eichhornia crassipes)

Describing the Boundaries of the Levin Abattoir, and Specifying the Levin Borough Council as the Controlling Authority of the Levin Abattoir (Notice No. Ag. 9067)

Pursuant to section 15 (5) of the Meat Act 1964, and to a delegation from the Minister of Agriculture for the purpose of the said section, notice is hereby given as follows:

  1. The Levin Abattoir District shall henceforth comprise—
    (a) The Borough of Levin;
    (b) Foxton Borough; and
    (c) The County of Horowhenua.
  2. The Levin Borough Council shall continue to be the controlling authority of the Levin Abattoir.

Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Act 1954—Proposed Cancellation of Registration of Industrial Union

Pursuant to section 86 of the Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Act 1954, it is hereby notified that the registration of the South Island Gold Dredge and Alluvial Gold Mines Employees Industrial Association of Workers, Registered No. 1916, situated at Greymouth Evening Star Buildings, Mackay Street Greymouth, will unless cause to the contrary is shown, be cancelled on the expiration of six weeks from the date of the publication of this notice in the Gazette.
