At the Government House at Wellington this 21st day of
September 1966
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
PURSUANT to the Local Government Commission Act 1961,
His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes
the following order.
ORDER
-
On and from 1 November 1966 the areas described in
the Schedule hereto shall be excluded from the County of
Bay of Islands and included in the Town District of Kawakawa. -
The said boundary alterations shall be deemed to have
been effected under the Municipal Corporations Act 1954.
SCHEDULE
ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District containing approximately 4 acres, bounded by a line commencing
at a point on the south-eastern side of the North Auckland
Railway, in Block XII, Kawakawa Survey District, in line
with the part of the south-western side of Bridge Street
forming the north-eastern boundary of Section 5, Block 1,
Village of Waiomio, and proceeding north-easterly along
the south-eastern side of the said railway to a point in line
with the part of the south-western side of Cemetery Road
forming the north-eastern boundary of Section 12, Suburbs
of Waiomio; thence south-easterly to, and south-westerly and
then north-westerly along, the generally northern boundary
of the Kawakawa Town District, as described in New Zealand
Gazette, 1954. p. 287, to the point of commencement.
Also, all that area in the North Auckland Land District
containing approximately 66 acres, bounded by a line commencing at a point on the generally eastern boundary of
the Kawakawa Town District, as described in New Zealand
Gazette, 1954. p. 287. in line with the southern boundary of
Section 1. Block XVI, Kawakawa Survey District. and proceeding north-easterly generally along that town district
boundary to a point in line with the north-western boundary
of Lot 1. D.P. 50009; thence to. and along. that northwestern boundary and then southerly along the north-eastern
boundaries of Lots 1 to 10 inclusive, D.P. 50009, to. and
along. the north-eastern and eastern boundaries of Lot 11.
and the eastern boundaries of Lots 12 to 17 inclusive, all on
D.P. 50009. to the south-eastern corner of the last-mentioned
lot; thence along a right line to the easternmost corner
of Lot 8. D.P. 47725; and continuing southerly generally along
the western side of the Kawakawa-Ruapekapeka Road to the
southern boundary of Section 3, Block XVI, Kawakawa Survey
District; thence westerly generally along that southern
boundary and the eastern and southern boundaries of that
part of Section 2, Block XVI, aforesaid. comprised in C.T.
2p/809, to Waiomio Road; thence northerly along the eastern
side of that road to the southern boundary of Section 1.
Block XVI, aforesaid. and then westerly to. and along.
another part of that southern boundary and its production
to the point of commencement.
Also, all that area in the North Auckland Land District
containing approximately 215 acres, bounded by a line commencing at a point on the generally south-western boundary
of the Kawakawa Town District. as described in New
Zealand Gazette. 1954. p. 287. being the easternmost corner
of Section 118, Block XVI, Kawakawa Survey District. and
proceeding south-easterly along that town district boundary
to the easternmost corner of Section 25, Block XVI, Kawakawa Survey District; thence south-westerly generally along
a right line to the easternmost corner of that part of Hospital
Road forming the western boundary of Section 52. and
along the eastern side of that road to the westernmost corner
of Section 53; thence along a right line, bearing 209° 11'.
and distant 870:7 links. and then westerly generally along
another right line bearing 280° 38' to the western side of
Hospital Road; thence along a right line to the southeastern corner of Lot 1.D.P. 49195. and along the southern
boundary of that lot to its south-western corner. and then
along another right line to the southernmost corner of Lot
- D.P. 33397, and along another right line bearing 283° 13'
to the western side of the public road forming the western
boundary of the last-mentioned lot; thence southerly along
that roadside to the southernmost corner of Section 88. and
then northerly along the western boundary of that section
to. and westerly. and then again northerly. along. the
southern and western boundaries of Section 26. to its northwestern corner; thence along a right line to the westernmost
corner of Section 19. the aforesaid sections all being of
Block XVI. Kawakawa Survey District. and along the northwestern boundary of that section and the north-western end
of Boswell Street to the point of commencement.

On and from 1 April 1967 the areas described in the
Schedule hereto shall be excluded from the County of
Hawke's Bay and included in the City of Napier. -
The said boundary alterations shall be deemed to have
been effected under the Municipal Corporations Act 1954.

(Taradale Road). and being a point on the southern boundary
of the City of Napier. as described in New Zealand Gazette.

the middle line of Waverley Road. being a point on the
northern boundary of the Borough of Taradale. as described

Hawke's Bay County. Petane Riding. containing approximately 5 acres. bounded by a line commencing at a point
in Block XVI. Puketapu Survey District. on the eastern
side of No. 2 State Highway. in line with the southern
boundary of Section 22. Block XVI. Puketapu Survey District. and being a point on the northern boundary of the
City of Napier. as described in New Zealand Gazette. 1962.
p. 865; thence proceeding northerly along the eastern side
of that State highway to a point in line with the northern
side of the Esplanade; thence easterly to. and along. the
northern side of the Esplanade and that side produced to
the mean-high-water mark of the ocean; thence southerly
along that mean-high-water mark to the boundary of the City
of Napier. described as aforesaid and westerly along that
boundary to the point of commencement.
