Pursuant to section 15 of the Royal New Zealand Air Force Act 1950, His Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to approve the following appointments, transfers in branch, promotions, extension of date of retirement, extensions of commissions, cancellation of commission, and retirement of officers of the Royal New Zealand Air Force.
REGULAR AIR FORCE
GENERAL DUTIES BRANCH
Appointment
David Terrence Lacey (82839) is granted a short-service commission in the General Duties Branch of the Regular Air Force for a period ending 1 August 1978, to be followed by four years in the Reserve of Air Force Officers. He is appointed in the rank of Flight Lieutenant, with seniority from 2 August 1965, with effect from 2 August 1966.
Extensions of Commissions
Wing Commander Gordon Harry Saywell Tosland, A.F.C. (72927), is granted an extension of his commission until 31 December 1969.
Squadron Leader Clifford Ralph Miller, p.s.c. (70180), is granted an extension of his commission until 26 May 1967.

Officer Cadet Michael Adams (82503) is granted a short-service commission in the Administrative and Supply Branch (Equipment Division) of the Regular Air Force for a period ending 25 July 1974, to be followed by four years in the Reserve of Air Force Officers. He is appointed in the rank of Pilot Officer, with seniority and effect from 26 July 1966.
Transfer in Branch and Promotion
Acting Pilot Officer Alisdair John McKenzie (81213) is transferred from the General Duties Branch to the Administrative and Supply Branch (Equipment Division) for a period ending 12 July 1978, to be followed by four years in the Reserve of Air Force Officers. He is promoted to Pilot Officer, with seniority and effect from 13 July 1966.

Special Duties Division
Flight Lieutenant Rex Howard Embling (132701) is transferred from the General Duties Branch, Reserve of Air Force Officers, to the Administrative and Supply Branch (Special Duties Division) of the Regular Air Force for a period ending 31 July 1971, to be followed by four years in the Reserve of Air Force Officers. He is transferred in the rank of Flight Lieutenant, with seniority and effect from 1 August 1966.
Cancellation of Commission
The commission of Flying Officer George Patrick Baker (80723) is cancelled, with effect from 24 August 1966.
AIR TRAINING CORPS
Appointments
John Falconer McFarlane, M.C., M.A., DIP. ED., is granted a commission in the Air Training Corps in the rank of Squadron Leader for a period ending 8 August 1970, with seniority and effect from 9 August 1966.
Robert Anthony Raymer, B.A., is granted a commission in the Air Training Corps in the rank of Pilot Officer for a period ending 25 May 1970, with seniority and effect from 26 May 1966.
Robert Kerr Yule is granted a commission in the Air Training Corps in the rank of Pilot Officer for a period ending 11 August 1970, with seniority and effect from 12 August 1966.
William Peter Atkinson is granted a commission in the Air Training Corps in the rank of Acting Pilot Officer for a period ending 27 September 1969, with seniority and effect from 7 May 1966.
John Richard Henry Atkinson is granted a commission in the Air Training Corps in the rank of Acting Pilot Officer for a period ending 8 May 1968, with seniority and effect from 7 May 1966.
Extension of Date of Retirement
The age for retirement of Flight Lieutenant Elfric James Insull, B.COM., F.R.A.N.Z., is further extended until 11 July 1967.
