persons interested therein, without fee, at any time when
the offices are open to the public. Objection to the proposed
change of the district scheme may be made by way of
written notice in form E prescribed in the First Schedule
to the Town and Country Planning Regulations 1960, or to
the like effect marked “Objection to Scheme Change” and
lodged at the office of the Council at any time not later
than the 30th day of September 1966. An appropriate form
for use of objectors is available from the Council offices.
At a later date every objection will be open for public
inspection. Any person who wishes to support or oppose
any objection will then be entitled to be heard at the hearing
of objections if he notifies the Town Clerk in writing within
a period of which public notice will be given.
SCHEDULE
- Map Amendment No. 8 (Provisional)—To alter the
District Planning Map as follows:
(i) By deleting the notation “River Berm” from the
areas shown on the District Planning Map and
coloured yellow green 1.
(ii) By zoning as River Zones the areas shown on plan
T.P. 14/9/13 and therein coloured yellow green
1 and altering the District Planning Map accord-
ingly.
- Alteration of scheme statement in accordance with the
foregoing alterations of the District Planning Map.

ASHBURTON BOROUGH COUNCIL
TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953
PURSUANT to the Town and Country Planning Act 1953,
public notice is hereby given that the Town and Country
Planning Appeal Board, on the 10th day of June 1966,
approved a specified departure from the provisions of the
Ashburton Borough district town planning scheme, as follows:
That Lot 9, D.P. 21364, Connor Place, being 2 roods 24·9
perches total area, be subdivided in such a manner as to
create two rear lots of 37·6 perches, being a reduction in
the minimum area set out in the Code of Ordinances for
rear lots of 2·4 perches on each lot.

REDUCTION OF CAPITAL
PURSUANT to section 78 (3) of the Companies Act 1955,
notice is hereby given that the order of the Supreme Court
of New Zealand dated the 22nd day of July 1966, confirming
the reduction of capital of the above-named company
from £36,000 to £4,500 and the minute approved by the
Court showing, with respect to the capital of the company
as altered, the several particulars required by the above-
mentioned Act, was registered by the Registrar of Companies
on the 28th day of July 1966.
The said minute is in the words and figures following:
“The capital of B. A. Gilroy Ltd. is £4,500 divided into
36,000 shares of 2s. 6d. each having been reduced from
£36,000 divided into 36,000 ordinary shares of £1 each fully
paid.”

Consolidation of Special Rates
NOTICE is hereby given that the Petone Borough Council, by
resolution dated 26 July 1966, makes the following special
order:
“That, pursuant to section 108A of the Municipal Corporations
Act 1954, the Petone Borough Council hereby makes a consoli-
dated special rate of one penny and two hundred and ten
four-hundredths of a penny (1²¹⁰/₄₀₀d.) in the pound on the
rateable value of all rateable property (on the basis of the
unimproved value) in the borough of Petone, such special
rate to be an annual-recurring rate, to be levied in whole
or in part to meet the annual charges in respect of the
following loans:

NOTICE OF PRIVATE BILL
CHURCH OF ENGLAND EMPOWERING AMENDMENT ACT 1966
NOTICE is hereby given that a Commission consisting of the
Most Reverend Norman Alfred Lesser, Archbishop and
Primate of New Zealand, the Reverend Walter Wade
Robinson, Mr Hurren Martin Stanhope Dawson, Mr
Wybrants Olphert, and Mr Ivan Everard Fitchett appointed
by the General Synod of the Church of the Province of New
Zealand (commonly called The Church of England) to repre-
sent the General Synod and to act in its name and on its
behalf in the promotion of the above Bill, proposes to
apply for leave to bring into the General Assembly of New
Zealand in Parliament assembled during its present session
a Private Bill the objects of which are:
-
To remove any doubts as to whether the General Synod
may authorise different forms of service in different
parts of the Province; -
To vary the period within which any alteration to the
formularies shall be confirmed by the General Synod;
and -
To enable the General Synod to permit the experi-
mental use of new or amended forms of service
under such conditions and for such periods as it shall
determine; and -
To amend the Church of England Empowering Act 1928
in order to give effect to the above-mentioned objects.
The promoter of this Private Bill is the said Commission
of five persons named hereinabove.

to and a copy of the Bill may be inspected at the offices of
the Commission’s solicitors, Messrs Olphert and Bornholdt,
142 Featherston Street, Wellington C. 1.
